Very bright. Very impressive!
I picked this particular light bar over any others due to the different LED type. Let me tell you, this is extremely bright - even in direct sunlight. The other light bars I was looking at use the lower quality LED which work OK, as long as you are looking directly at them. These ones are much more forgiving and just generally brighter. It wasn't available on Prime when I got it, but definitely worth the wait.We frequently go ATV'ing with my young children at some local ATV parks. Of course, their machines are much slower than most everyone else out there, so I wanted to get some rear lights to advise upcoming traffic of the potential hazard. I've also stopped to help some people and it would definitely be advantageous to have some warning lights as they approach. In addition, I wanted some reverse lights (or rear work lights). During my search, I stumbled across this light bar, which meets all of these, and gave me some extra running/brake lights. Excellent. The wiring harness was cool, but I didn't really know what to expect based on the limited description the seller has. Here's the details:You get a rocker switch and an in-line power/selector switch. It's up to you which one you want to use. You only use one or the other. I went with the rocker switch since my Wildcat SxS had an available spot. If you turn off the power switch (rocker or inline) will shut off power to the entire bar - even if you have it connected for brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights. It doesn't matter how you have them wired, the power switch will shut off the entire thing. I wasn't expecting this, but it still worked well for my setup. You'll want to keep this in mind. The rocker / inline switch also controls the flash pattern of the yellow lights OR shuts them off. Just press it once quickly and it will turn them on (if they were off), and each press after that will cycle through the flash patterns. There are quite a few. If you hold it down for three seconds, the yellow flashing lights shut off altogether until you press the button again. Pretty cool. The second harness is for your left turn / right turn / brake / white lights. I didn't use the turn signal leads - I just connected mine to the brakes and reverse lights. The brake lights just make the outer red running lights brighter while your foot is on the brake. If you connect the turn signal lead, the corresponding red running light will get bright, then will shut off for a few seconds when you disconnect the lead, which makes sense if you're connecting it to a turn signal. I just taped these off since I won't be using turn signals in this setup.Important note - the red running lights are always on when the switch is on. There is no way to shut them off. That's OK in my setup, but others might have issues with that. Also, to reiterate what I said before, if you turn off the power switch (rocker or in-line), NONE of the lights will turn on at all - no flashers, no reverse lights, no running lights, nothing. Just keep that in mind. Again, for my setup, that worked will. The only "CON" for this setup is the length of the wire for the rocker switch. As you can see in their picture, it's less than 2 feet long. I had to extend their harness to get the switch up on the dash. Seems like they would have made that a bit longer so you could reach the dash all the way to a rear light bar. My SxS is a 2-seater and it wasn't even close. If you're OK with wiring, it isn't hard to extend the harness though.Bonus points - the rocker switch is full-time back lit. This will make it easier to find on those night runs. Another feature I was not expecting, but I am very glad for this feature!Overall I am really liking this bar and highly recommend it. It is now January of 2019. If I run into any issues with it at all, I will update my review.

Super Bright! Works really well!
I love this light, it is super bright and was not much money. What other reviews have said about instructions is true, it does not come with much instruction but if you have a little wiring experience, you are going to figure it out pretty easily. Just play with the wires with a battery for 10 minutes and you will figure it out! I would complain about it if this chase light cost an arm and a leg, but for the price and quality of the product you get, I am not complaining about the small lack of instructions.I wired it directly to the taillights of my 2016 RZR XP 4 1000 by using a Y-fitting I had from my last chase light, and it made it pretty easy to connect it to the chase bar once I fitted the connector to this chase bars' wires. For the brake light function to work correctly, for some reason there is some voltage still left in the stock RZR brake lights signal wire even when the brakes are off, so my chase bar (at first) would have the brake lights go on when the brake peddle was pressed, but when the peddle was let go, the voltage in the signal wire did not drop significantly enough to shut off the brake light in the chase light (it went down from 12.3 V to about 4.3V). To fix this issue, I installed my own 4 Pin 12v Spst relay to control the brake light (with stock RZR brake signal wire entering the 86 pin, and then the Relay's brake signal wire (along with the reverse light signal wire since I wanted the reverse light to go on with the brake) connected to pin 87, and then pin 30 connected to my power, and pin 85 to ground), and this fixed all my problems. The brake light now functioned perfectly.Anyway, I highly recommend this light to anyone who is looking for a good and bright chase light. Last time we went out riding we got a lot of compliments on how bright this bar is. So if you are not afraid to play around with lighting to figure out how this bar works, get this chase bar!

you will need some hardware and extended cable kit..
currently mid install on the rear cross member on RZR 900xc. Early mock up testing looks great, but you will need to order a few parts to mount to a RZR.Plan on buying:horizontal bar mounts (2 total)extended wire kit by Xpritepossibly longer mounting bolts, I used 1" long 1/4-20 stainless bolt + nylock nut hardwarerzr tail light power harness (3 wire for my model) - be sure to plug the harness between the tail light and the old tail light plug only. if not your tail light will stop functioning..Only downfall of this kit is that you MUST buy the extended wire kit for even a 2 seat rzr if you plan on using the dash switch. Sure I could use the xprite switch and hide it somewhere.Update after install and ride:Reverse light on a 2915 & up RZR will be a problem. Unless your a software engineer, the only solutions are an external bump switch that activates when your shifter hits reverse or a toggle switch. I simply combined the center white light with my existing rear led light switch.Brake light activation using the above 3 wire RZR tail light power harness was also a fail. When red wire (red brake light on bar) was connected to the red wire on the RZR harness it would light the bright red function of the light bar. Stepping on the brake did nothing as it was already illuminated to the brighter red light. Basic trouble shooting of trying the other wires on the 3 wire harness did nothing. Not subtracting stars for this. It’s not this universal bars fault as all modes worked correctly. These are Polaris RZR specific problems. On the trail these lights are plenty bright in daylight. So bright in fact I angled them down a bit not to blind other riders.

Overall Good Light Bar - But Wiring is Limiting
Overall this is a good light bar. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the main power turns the strobe lights on to get anything else on. That means if you only want the outer lights for brake/turn/running or the inner lights for backup/bed, you have hold the strobe button for 3 seconds to turn them off. The other lights will not work without first turning on the strobe lights. Not a major issue, but if they brought the main power into the running lights and then had another signal wore for the strobe lights (similar to the backup/turns/brake wires), you could better control without hassling with the strobes. Also note that if you are adding to a control panel (other switch configuration), you will have to momentary switch the ground for the strobe wire as it is ground trigger controlled and not positive signal controlled. Its easy to do with a relay between a ground point and the white strobe signal wire in the harness.
