I like that this has the measurements on the side. Many French Presses don't. I broke it while washing it, so I wish it was stronger, but I've broken every French Press I've ever had so I think that's a problem with any one.

It's more solid and easier to clean than the rattling Bodum model that I put up with for years. I use it when I need a cup of coffee and don't want to mess with my drip device (and NO, I can not abide a Keurig or that Nespresso noisemaker just because everyone has one). It hides away when not in use, and, yes, it makes a great cup with ordinary Folgers.

I’ve been wanting a French press for a little while now. But, I wanted a small one that would make one cup at a time. This is exactly what I was hoping for. My only issue is that are more pieces than I expected. Maybe that’s the case with all French presses. I don’t know because I have never owned one before.

last year I went to the St***rbks Hacienda in the mountains of Costa Rica. They served a flight of different coffees with three presses similar to this. After lots of research. I decided this press was the closest I could find to those. The size is correct too. TIP: splash boiling water in the bottom to help the coffee grounds bloom. Then add the rest of the water 30 seconds later.

Upon first sight, I thought it was rather small, but it actually makes a perfect large cup of coffee. Once I got the variables right (amount of coffee, water, and time to steep) I find I'm extremely pleased.

The glass shattered within the first month of use.

I absolutely loved this BUT the glass broke while I was cleaning it out. It isn't the easier to clean out as I didn't want to clog my sink up. It also would leak from the bottom when I would pour the tea into a cup. I like the handles and that the bottom had plastic so while I held it I couldn't feel the tea temperature. If you are careful and don't mind the little drops while pouring then it is a good value for the money. I had mine for about a month and it is already broken, I don't plan on replacing it.
