Meets Very Practical Need While Also Being a Striking, Decorative Piece
Edit 11/2022I’ve moved and I still love these baskets!. Some of my concerns such as the handles holding up were unfounded. They are still holding up 4.5 years later. I still use this as a produce basket. I have it placed in an area against the wall and beside a shelf in my new walk in pantry right inside the door. I never really have issues with the baskets getting knocked off. My roomba can even run over the base and vacuum the onion peels that flake off. (I don’t have the newest that came out). Considering that my family eats produce everyday, this basket is in use having things grabbed out of it or new produce put inside of it daily. I’d say the baskets easily hold a 5lb bag of potatoes and then some. It holds a LOT and I love that. At this stage it’s mainly used for potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, squashes, pumpkins and garlic. Fruit now sits on the kitchen island so the family sees it. I also now have a cat and he doesn’t bother it at all. I’ve never tested it with toddlers or babies, I’d still be a bit weary of it tipping. I still LOVE this thing and when I redesign my pantry, I’m just not sure I’ll be able to part with it even if it means I gained more storage space, because I really love having it in there. The only new downside I’ve discovered is that potatoes can turn green a lot faster if there is too much sun in the space it is kept. Even though the pantry has windows, and the are blinds shut at all times, it still has more natural light filtering in than the last kitchen which had a very heavy shaded backyard. I’m probably going to put some blackout curtains in there to fix that problem. This thing is great and is worth every penny I spent.********I just love it! This review is for the 3-Tiered basket which sits on the floor. It meets a very practical need, while also being a striking, decorative piece.I was looking for a solution to hold a large quantity of produce. We have a very tight eat-in kitchen with very little counter space and wall space. We purchase a large amount of produce each week such as several pounds of potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, apples and bananas as regular staples, along with other bi-weekly produce offerings such as squashes and other seasonal fruit. There just wasn't anywhere to put all of that produce. We don't have a pantry and the garage was not insulated enough to store produce without rotting in the summer or freezing solid in the winter (I lost a huge squash out there this winter). There was no room on the counter, limited cabinet space, nowhere to hang baskets and I didn't want to put anything on the table for fear of certain produce rapidly rotting and leaking onto the wood table and causing damage before we noticed. Not to mention having to move the produce basket multiple times a day so we could actually eat at the table. This basket was able to fit in a small area between the end of the counter and the start of the sliding glass doors to the backyard. It is VERY tall and sits above my waist.I like that the baskets are removable and I can carry a basket to the counter to pick out things as I'm prepping meals. The baskets are very generously sized and hold a TON of produce. In one basket alone, I had 6 onions, 6 large sweet potatoes and 2 butternut squash and I believe I could probably still get plenty more onions and smaller pieces in it. In another I had nearly 2 dozen oranges and 2 large grapefruit. In another I had tangerines, several apples and a bunch of bananas. None of the baskets were completely full. We ate on this produce for nearly 3 weeks. My piece was packaged well, came with no damage and I personally put it together myself very easily. I can see how a piece like this could prove to be difficult to assemble if holes are not lined up just right, but I did not have much issue there. There were a few holes I had to put more effort into turning the screws, but even with the low strength in my hands, I was able to manage it without my husband's help, using the provided tool. I was happy I didn't even need to hunt down any tools and could put it together straight away.I noticed some complained about the finish. The finish is a 2 tone brushed painted look. It has a darker base color and it has a slightly lighter color "brushed" on top. I've owned other metal pieces that have used a similar 2 tone application and don't see anything about this in particular that stands out and makes it look unattractive to me. I've also owned metal pieces where the metal is painted a single color such as black or a very dark brown, so if that is what you're looking for, I'd either stay away or plan to spray paint the piece. Many pieces I saw on the market were too small, took up too much real estate, had to be attached to a wall or hung from a ceiling, or they were very country/rustic looking. My house decor is far from having a country or rustic aesthetic, which made if very difficult to find just the right piece. It seemed hard to swallow spending so much on something that would be used as "fruit basket", but I felt the investment is worth it and will be used for a very long time. Even if I change my mind on using it for produce down the road, I can use it in other parts of my home for other purposes such as in a bathroom or guest room and it will attractively fit into those rooms, too, and not just look like a fruit basket that was repurposed. In fact, one reason I like it so much is because it doesn't just scream "fruit basket" when you first look at it.A couple of cautions I'd have about this piece is that while it is rather stable for everyday use and would not tip over super easily if you bumped it with your hip or stubbed your toe on it for some reason (I'm so clumsy), I would not advise having this in a prominent place if you have a baby/toddler toddling around and using every piece of furniture to pull up on. While this piece is much heavier than it appears, I don't believe it would be stable enough to hold up to that and could be quite dangerous if it fell on a toddler. A toddler could also easily pull on the baskets and have the entire basket tip over and fall off the brackets. I would probably also not use this in a kitchen if I had an animal that likes to stick their nose in or lick the food all the time or had a large wagging tail that might knock the baskets off. The baskets are heavy and even heavier once filled, but some larger dogs have a tail with some substantial heft when it wags, so not sure if this would be an issue for some dog owners. It might also be an issue for cat owners with cats that like to jump on literally everything.A couple of things I don't really like about this piece: I don't know about the wood handles holding up long term. This part of the piece seems cheaply varnished and I anticipate with any kind of regular moisture or water exposure such as cleaning, it will start flecking off at some point. The 2nd issue I have with it is that the baskets aren't held on the securest way. They almost barely fit onto the brackets. If I bump the baskets slightly, such as when filling them up with produce, it's very easy to accidentally knock off the handle from one or more of the 4 brackets that stick out and hold up a single basket (2 brackets on each side for every basket) . Fortunately, because there are 4 brackets, if I knock one handle and it comes off of 1 of the brackets the other 3 are able to hold it in place ok. But, if I bumped it a little harder, I can see things possibly dumping out. This hasn't happened yet, but I can be clumsy at times. Since this is a piece that will be used frequently, I imagine it's only a matter of time. I guess only time will tell if my fears are well founded. In spite of the *potential* drawbacks, I would still purchase it again. I love the space saving design because it can hold a lot in a small footprint. I love the attractive wrought iron look and dark finish. I love that the design is curved, rather than boxy. I love that it's NOT country/rustic looking. The price point was very reasonable considering how it will be in use every single day for years to come. I would highly recommend it!

Ignore any bad reviews! This is an awesome, heavy piece and great value! great q
I read the bad reviews but ordered this anyway and so glad I didn't listen. This is a beautiful piece for the price and mine went together perfectly. It is iron, not flimsy metal, so very sturdy. It is rustic, yet classic and would go with most decor. I just assembled it today and can't wait to use it!

Great quality and sturdiness! But price has increased a lot over the last year!
I am providing an update. I have had this rack for over 1.5 years. It is still as sturdy as new. I took this picture today and it looks as good as 1.5 years ago. I wanted to buy another one but realized the price has increased significantly. When I bought it in May 2019, it was around $45 and now it is priced at $76.65. Given the price increase, I am unlikely to buy another one.Below was my previous review provided in May 2019:“The quality is very good. It is very easy to assemble. I assembled it in less than 15 minutes. It is very sturdy. Bought it in May and have used it for six months now. It is as sturdy as new. I would highly recommend this product.”

Love it!
This standing produce basket is PERFECT! Recently moved into a house with limited counter space and this product is exactly what I needed. It’s actually quite heavy and really great quality. I will add that it’s a bit unsteady, however, a couple of felt pads under the base solved that issue. I love it!!

Great product, but mine looks defective and rusted out on one side...
About actual product--super solid item. Beautiful. My 12 year old and I keep admiring it--and the counter space we gained by filling all three baskets with the produce sitting on our counter! Very solid, and I expect the normal product to last a LONG time. Assembly was very brief and super easy--which is shocking since the product is so sturdy!I only gave 4 stars because for the actual item I personally received, I'd rather give a 2-3. The box inside the shipping box was broken, and I half-expected parts to be missing. Oddly enough, we had two extra screws. After getting it assembled, one whole side looks used and rusted. It could almost pass as that was the look the company was going for, but the other side is painted nicely and no "aged" look. Besides, the rusted side has scratches all over it.Not sure if that shipping box sat in water (but it wasn't wet, and didn't have the feel of a wet box that dried), which could explain why the box was broken open. It didn't "feel" like it was a returned item in a torn-open box. But possibly if it sat somewhere too long and got damp, that could explain the rusted side. But then...it came in parts we had to assemble, so it would seem coincidental that only the one side's parts all rusted. My guess is this was a returned "defective" product, and they resold it to me.

Durable, efficient and stylish
This product was packaged well and all parts were in the package. It took me approximately 20 minutes to assemble this piece and I am not a youngster and not coordinated. The instructions were easy to read but it was so well constructed I think I could have assembled without instruction sheet. I appears to be very sturdy and I was impressed with design and the materials used. The baskets are larger than I expected and hold a whole lot of produce, bread, or whatever you would like to store. I does not appear to tip which would have been a deal breaker. Very, very pleased so far. If anything changes in the future, I will give an update but now it's exactly what I wanted and needed.
