Necessary Upgrade for Ender 3 V2
Sadly the horribly plasticky extruder that comes as standard with the Ender 3 V2 snapped after a few dozen hours of printing. The plastic cracked around the heat-inset, on the tensioning arm, that is used to hold the drive wheel in place, this meant there was inconsistent tension on the filament so kept getting random under-extrusion during printing. This all-metal (aluminium) extruder is an effective replacement. It is not going to snap,it was easy to fit and just works. It was also a reasonably price, there are other all-metal extruders out there (for the ender3 v2) but they cost more as they come with a bunch of pointless "extra" stuff (nozzles, springs, pneumatic connectors, etc).Basically Creality should have fitted this as standard equipment, it would have added a few pounds to the base cost of the printer but would have been worth it to avoid all the wasted filament and frustration.I am happy with this all-metal extruder.

A Game-Changer for My Ender 3 3D Printer!
I recently upgraded my Ender 3 3D printer with the Creality Official Extruder, and I couldn't be happier with the results! This aluminum drive feed Bowden extruder has truly transformed my 3D printing experience, and I'm excited to share my positive experience with it.First and foremost, the build quality of this extruder is top-notch. The aluminum construction not only looks sleek but also feels incredibly sturdy. It's a significant improvement over the stock plastic extruder that comes with the Ender 3. The durability and precision of the Creality Official Extruder are immediately noticeable. One of the most significant benefits of this upgrade is the improved filament feeding mechanism. The extruder grips onto the filament with a firm yet gentle hold, eliminating the risk of slipping or grinding. This translates to smoother and more reliable 3D prints with fewer extrusion issues. I've noticed a significant reduction in under-extrusion problems, which were a common occurrence with the stock extruder. The installation process was a breeze, thanks to the clear and concise instructions provided by Creality. I was able to swap out the old extruder for this one in under 30 minutes, and I'm not particularly skilled in DIY projects. It's a direct fit for the Ender 3, which means no additional modifications are required.Another standout feature is the easy filament change mechanism. Loading and unloading filament has never been so hassle-free. This makes filament swaps quick and straightforward, minimizing downtime between prints.Overall, the Creality Official Extruder has significantly improved the performance and reliability of my Ender 3 3D printer. The build quality, ease of installation, and enhanced filament feeding system make it a must-have upgrade for any Ender 3 owner. I'm now enjoying more consistent and high-quality 3D prints with fewer headaches along the way. If you're looking to take your 3D printing to the next level, I highly recommend giving this extruder a try. It's a game-changer!

Good product. Not symmetrical
I like it. It works, need to recalibrate the printer to work with it which was hard. I had to run the moto in reverse. It is a shame that ghe design isn't symmetrical so it can't be mounted either way on my printer which is Flsun Q5

Easy repair
Amazon prompt Prime delivery as usual.Replacement for the failed idler arm (see pic) of my fairly aged Ender 3 Pro printer.Had to come as the stock arm is plastic and inevitably wears / cracks. This replacement Extruder set is all metal so should last a good while, and is nicely finished.Comes with an exploded diagram of the fitting, so extra easy to install.E-Steps would require re-calibration if your old extruder wheel was worn. But apart from that, a breeze to fit. Appears to be genuine Creality and comes with a length of Bowden tube, coupler for the new extruder, build plate levelling springs, and two silcone jackets for the hot-end. All of which will come in handy in the future!

Does not arrive assembled
If you're expecting one that's assembled, this isn't it.Annoyingly an assembled extruder would fit in the snug bag that it arrives in.The item arrives with a small tube in the bottom of the extruder which you will have to remove in order to fit on a v3 se.

A required upgrade from the stock extruder..
The plastic tension arm on the stock extruder on my Ender 3 started to break. I noticed because my prints were suddenly really bad quality and I was seeing massive under extrusion. After removing the arm it basically fell apart (see photo) so I needed to replace the extruder. This one is red - colour is mostly irrelevant and is an official Creality accessory. It is also made of metal so should not break up through frequent use.Fitting was relatively straightforward and only the existing tools that came with the printer were needed. One thing was that my Ender 3 had a pressed on gear on the extruder stepper. This looked difficult to remove so I left it on rather that using the new one supplied with the kit (which is secured with a couple of grub screws). This works but does mean the filament is clamped a bit firmer than I'd like, even on its 'loosest' setting as it looks like the original gear is a little bit fatter than the new one would be.I also took the opportunity to replace the Boden tube at the same time as the extruder but that's a different review...So it's on, and it works. No problems other then the tightness of the grip on the filament. It doesn't seem to affect anything though and printing works fine now.Definitely recommended.
