Installed Right, Works Right
I bought three of these to control my bathroom exhaust fans. The price was fair for this type of switch. These are made in China. They are UL listed. There is a two-year warranty. The installation instructions included are easy to understand, especially the wiring diagram. Follow them! Turn off the electricity for the circuit at the breaker. You must have a white neutral wire in the box for this switch to work. In my case (I installed mine in a box with more than one switch), all the white wires were bundled together with a wire nut and shoved to the back of the box. Look for the white wire(s). I had two black wires going to the existing switch: one was for the line (supplying electricity to the switch) and one was for the load (sending electricity to the fan/light when switched on). If not labeled, to determine which is which, you can use a volt-ohm meter. Be careful because you will have to turn the power back on to test this. With the switch off, make contact with a white wire with one VOM probe and with the other probe touch the black wire. Whichever black wire reads voltage, that’s the line wire. The other black wire that reads no voltage with the switch off is the load. Before proceeding, turn off the electricity at the breaker. Now it’s just a simple matter of following the wiring diagram and matching the colors. Use the included wire nuts and securely twist them down on the wires you’re connecting. Operation is almost self-explanatory. The switch has blue LED lights that function as night lights (they can be a bit bright). People leave fans running and walk away. These stop that problem and save on electricity.

Definitely a must have...
We purchased these several months ago as I have daughters that always leave the fan on after showering! They were very simple to install and really work well. The different timing functions provide a simple solution for those who forget to turn off the fan. The light indicators make it simple to see at night as well. If we move, I'll be installing these in our bathrooms again.

Perfect!
These timers look and work great! They are simple to operate, and come with wire nuts and a face plate if you need one. If you have standard wiring they are easy to install; just connect the similar colored wires. Remember to turn off the circuit breaker before hand! It's also a good idea to double check with a meter or test light if you have one. If you have 2 0r 3 switches in the same box, make sure they are also turned off by the same breaker. One of my bathrooms had some wiring that was not code, with 2 red wires and no black. Black is the hot, or power wire (always on) and red goes to the light/fan.. On a regular switch this wouldn't mater, but this unit needs the power from the black wire in order to operate. I could have used a meter to determine which wire was hot but was able to determine there was one incoming cable that was delivering power to all 3 switches in the box. For tools, you'll need a flat blade and Phillips screwdriver, and pliers, and wire cutters to straighten and trim the existing wiring.

Easy to install and works great in my downstairs bathroom which had a dedicated feed set of wires.
I had no problem installing this timer switch in my downstairs bathroom where there was a dedicated wire bundle in the outlet box. Black (hot) attached to black (hot) on the switch. Black (load) attached to red (load) on the switch. White (neutral) hooked to the two other white (neutral) wires. Ground (green) to ground (copper wire). The switch looks and performs very well with LED lights showing what time has been selected.Upstairs I was not able to get it to work. Upstairs has 2 switches hooked to one dedicated wire bundle, feeding light and the fan switches. Hooking up the white wires together and the black hot wires and the red load wires and the ground created a weird outcome. When the light switch was off, the bathroom light was on at about half brightness. The timer worked when the light switch was off. Turning the light switch on made the light turn on like normal, but the timer switch went dead. Did not work. So, I took it back apart and rewired the two switches and they work fine. We actually only have the issue of leaving the fan running all night in the downstairs bathroom. Since we sleep upstairs it is easy to know if the fans are running. BTW, I use Panasonic bathroom fans. Expensive, but they are soooo quiet and move a lot of air.

Good Fan timer.Easy to install
I have long wanted fan timers in our two bathrooms because we tend to forget the fans they run all day long, so i couldn't resist this deal when I saw it. The timers came attractively packaged with their wall plates and fasteners and wire nuts, so it was a simple swap with the existing switches and they work as expected. There are six buttons that correspond to the amount of time to run the fan. Simply push the one you want and walk away knowing that you did your part to clear the air without emptying the house of its heat. The larger button on the bottom will either run the fan for the amount of time last used (for which one of the timer lights will be lit, so you know how long), cancel the fan, or put it into manual override to stay on.Each button has a light on it. The light on the big button goes out whenever the timer is active (fan is on). The lights on the individual buttons light only for the currently selected one and blink shortly before the timer is about to time out, All of the lights go out when the timer is set to run in manual override, which is done by holding the big button in for about three seconds. The LEDs are all tiny, but extremely bright. This shouldn't be an issue but I thought it worth mentioning. When considering this switch, remember that it requires four wires to work. A hot (Black), a neutral (white), a switched output (red), and a ground (green). All four will almost always be present if this is replacing a switch where there is already an existing fan circuit. If you have any question about this then you probably shouldn't be doing electrical work in the first place.
