Great replacement for stock insoles for Arch Support.
I bought these because my new GEL-VENTURE 8 EXTRA WIDE trail runners had zero arch support. I saw another reviewer that has success with this insole in Asics, but I have the extra wide version. The insole appears to be the same width as the stock insole and the thickness at the forefoot is very close, 1mm less according to my calipers. These are a foam insole somewhat like what was in the Asics stock, BUT have an arch, a heel cup and a semi rigid (firm but flexible) heel/arch cradle.I have very high arches. These are a medium arch but we’re perfect because the shape of the shoe curves up and is snugger in the arch area. If I were to have gotten a true high arch insole, the shoe would have been too tight on top of the foot.I suffer from plantar faccitis and heel spurs. With the stock insole my heels hurt within 4 hours of wear mainly due to lack of arch support, but I otherwise loved the shoe. These solved my problem immediately and did not change the fit of the shoe.I also tested these on my new Danner mountain 600 hiking boots. The stock insoles in those run a little long and I have had some trouble finding a suitable replacement with enough arch. I wear a size 12 and this size fits though 13. They fit the Danners perfectly with NO trimming. Thickness are very close again so no change in the fit. I have an upgraded Danner insole coming but think I may send back and order another pair of these.

Provides maximum comfort - highly recommend!
I have used Superfeet green and it took a while to break in to be comfortable. However with Superfeet Flex max, there was no "break-in" period and felt instantly comfortable when I wore my shoes with these insoles for the first time. I do like that I can use them with some of my boots. It definitely relieves any issues I have with plantar fasciitis. I have been wearing them for a few months and my feet have never felt better. Podiatrists usually recommend Superfeet Green but they need to start recommending these ones too, it does the job like Superfeet Green but comfort comes quicker with the flexmax.

Love Superfeet, just not this particular insert...
I have happily used Superfeet inserts for several years. So I decided to try a different model of insert. They arrived in perfect condition and fit my shoes just right. However, I did not realize they had perforations on the part that sits under the ball of the foot. I cannot have that type of texture under my feet as they are too sensitive. I wore the inserts twice, to make sure it wasn't just tired feet. I am sad to say, I now have inserts I cannot use. They actually gave me more foot pain than standing for long periods. This did not put me off on the brand Superfeet; but I suggest, if you have very sensitive feet, you try a different model of insert.

Fills the gap in my Sebagos
I got a great deal on two pairs of Sebago Dock Shoes on Facebook marketplace. But i have super thin feet so my feet sit low in shoes and the edges of the shoes irritate the knobs of my ankles. These insoles give me the 1/4 inch or so of clearance I need & make the shoes fit snugly. I love superfeet insoles. I've got them in most of my shoes/boots.

My Doc Recommended
I just recently had surgery on my left ankle due to a fall at my job when I passed out. I’ve been walking on a fractured ankle for approximately a year and a half. My orthopedic she’s an amazing woman, Dr. GALI, fixed it again, and I can feel the support that this type of insole for my shoe has done an outstanding job for my foot! Thank you!

Good suppport, not much cushion
First the good: I have high arches and these insoles provide rigid support that does not give way. The insoles stay in place and do not shift positions. I wear a size 6.5 and the insoles run true to size. The not so good: The foam on layer that covers the the rigid structure is thin and stiff. Though the insoles are supportive, I did not find them to provide “maximum cushion” as advertized. I suffer from episodic peripheral neuropathy and was prioritizing comfort and cushion, which these minimally provided. Also, they have holes in forefoot section, under the balls of the feet. They provide ventilation, which is good, but because of the stiff foam used in their construction, the holes feel apparent when I wear my thin, high performance running socks leaving the balls of my feet feeling raw.

Great insole for support without interfering with your shoe's flex
I have narrow feet and med-low arches and I use aftermarket insoles mostly for tennis. I prefer supportive insoles over the mushy gel type. Until now, Superfeet Greens were my favorite, but the Flexmax is my new favorite. The level of arch support is slightly less and softer than the Greens but enough that my feet are just as painless after a tennis match. The difference is I don't notice the Flexmax insoles as much, which is a good thing. The Flex series insoles don't have the stability plate you see on other Superfeet insoles, but my tennis shoes have such a stiff midfoot shank that the stability plate is unnecessary anyway. An added benefit is that the Flex series won't interfere with the flex of your shoes in places where they should flex. Of course, if you have shoes with a soft midfoot and need the extra stability, the Green (or Blue or Orange) would be better, but I would point out that plenty of good athletic shoes on the market have a stiff midfoot shank, and if you need that kind of stability you should start with the right shoe.

Shooting pains up my calf, Buy Spenco instead!
I purchased these due to the high reviews online as well as on this page. I needed a supportive and comfortable insole for long walks. It says "reduces foot fatigue" and "aerospring comfort foam" on the packaging but it is anything but. I walked in a mall with these insoles for about 2 hours and the foot pain got so intense, my foot started to cramp. My entire calf was tight and sore. It feels as if the arch support bit was digging into my heel. The insole itself feels thin and hard. In comparison, the Spenco insole I purchased at the same time is a dream. Beyond disappointed!
