Reliable and affordable
I hiked a section of the Appalachian trail with this bag, and it held everything reliably, never gave me any issues, and had good back support. Usually, you will pay out the wazoo for something like this, but it seems that you don't need to. (depending on your needs)

Great Pack for the money
I am backpacking the Colorado Trail for a week with some friends and I wanted to upgrade my 20+ year old internal frame pack to save some weight. My friends kept sending me sale flyers for an Osprey. Yes, I know that Osprey is a great company and known for lightweight gear - I have other Osprey products - but I just couldn't see spending almost $200 even on sale. I came across this pack - it is even compared to an Osprey in a YouTube video I found - and decided to try it. For under $100 it fits my needs perfectly. Zippers and compression straps seem well made and sturdy. My sleeping bag fits in the bag compartment - barely, but fits, and I can attach my camp chair, compression bag with clothing and rain gear easily to the sides. I like the hip belt pouch - my old pack doesn't have that. The rain cover is included and located conveniently to pull out and quickly put over the pack - it has elastic. With everything on my pack the rain fly is adequate, but I wish it was slightly larger. Other than that I really like this backpack. I would recommend to anyone and if you do purchase be sure to watch the Youtube video on how to adjust it for your torso - it will make a huge difference in how comfortably the pack rides. I googled the pack name and found the video. I am 5'8" woman, regular build and was able to adjust this pack perfectly for me. I am able to get my gear and food in for a 5 night trip. I have been carrying the pack with full weight - 30 pounds - for over a month to get conditioned for the trip and it is holding up just fine. If the pack does not hold up well on the trip I will immediately re-post with any negatives.

Great for the price.
Considering the price, this bag is pretty darn good. The material feels high quality and durable, as do all of the straps and zippers. There are plenty of storage compartments, and the main compartment is huge. 60L is a ton of storage. I absolutely love that they include a rain cover, and it's super easy to pull it out and cover the entire bag. All bags should include a rain cover! On the bottom of the shoulder straps, there are adjustment straps to tighten the shoulder straps. The stitching on the adjustment straps was frayed and coming apart straight out of the box, although it doesn't affect functionality at all. Definitely a quality control issue there. All other stitching looks great as far as I can tell.Someone said the waist strap was too short. The adjustment strap itself is super long... I only have a size 30 waist but I have close to 2 feet of extra strap adjustability, so unless your waist size is over 60 inches then I don't see how the strap could be too short. The waist belt itself (the canvas support part that attaches to the bag) isn't very large and doesn't come around to the front of your body at all - just the sides of your waist - which means the waist pocket is tiny and mostly useless. I'd like to keep my phone in the hip pocket, but it doesn't fit, and I don't have a very big phone (iPhone 13, the smaller sized one). It's only big enough for a men's wallet or something small like a headlamp.I've spent a decent amount of time adjusting the bag for comfort and walking around my house with 20lbs of weights and blankets stuffed inside. There is a ton of adjustability with this bag. Adjusting the torso is a little confusing. There is a strap underneath the lumbar/back padding that needs to be tightened or loosened to hold the bag into position along the aluminum frame. Hard to explain, but you can do it. After quite a bit of adjustment, I can't quite get the shoulder straps to feel comfortable. It's close, but there's still some discomfort there, and I know that I couldn't comfortably complete a day hike with this thing on, let alone a multi-day trip. The padding on the back and waist is very comfortable, but the airflow could be better. Just walking around my house with 20lbs of gear caused my back to start sweating. It's way better than any other backpack that I own, though. There's a pass-through for a hydration tube, but only on the right side. I prefer it on my left, and I wish there were options for both. Not a big deal, though. The bottom-most sleeping bag pouch is a little tight... I was able to jam my REI Trailmade 20 sleeping bag into it, and it zipped shut, but it took a bit of effort. It just barely fits. If you're using a 20 degree bag, you might have trouble fitting it into this bag. Anything thinner/lighter than that should fit just fine.Overall, for under $70, this pack is pretty nice. At 5'10 150lbs, it's not the most comfortable for me personally, but I think for a slightly larger person this would be a great option. I chose to return this and pick up an REI Trailmade 60 pack on sale for $100 as I find it to be a bit more comfortable, but if you're on a budget, this Teton isn't a bad choice at all. Quality product.

Durable and comfortable
This pack is sturdy and can fit quite a lot of gear comfortably. I recently hiked Mount Marcy in NY's Adirondack Mountains and packed the following: 3 shirts, 5 pairs socks, 5 pairs underwear, sweatshirt, pants, food for 3 days, small pots/camping stove, isobutane fuel, sleeping bag, pillow, knife, water bottle, toiletries, paracord, first aid kit, 4-person tent (strapped to the outside). Could have fit a little more in the main compartment or strapped a pad to the outside if I needed to. The rain fly works awesome as well. My wife and I left our packs outside in what was supposed to be a light drizzle, and turned into a torrential downpour. Luckily, we put the rain flies on and put the uncovered side face-down on a rock, and they barely got wet at all. Just a little moisture on the straps and padding. Everything in the zippered pockets was dry.

Every bit as good as the big name brands
Bought for a 2 day hike on AT, couldn't get to my old pack in time for trip so wanted something not too expensive to try. Definitely going to stick with this one for future multi-day hikes. Lightweight, great organization of pockets and straps, felt like all quality materials from bag to zippers to pull cords to velcro. Adjustable for height so it will fit about anyone. 20+ miles and not a bad thing to say about it. Even got to put the built in rain fly to use. No need to pay 4x the price, this one will do the trick. Looking forward to my next trip with it.

Teton stands behind their products
I loaded my Hiker 3700 with 45 lbs of gear. For two weeks all was well, but then an adjustment strap began to tear. This was >60 days after my purchase. Too late for Amazon to replace but I contacted Teton through their website. Teton immediately sent me a replacement backpack. I'll treat this one more carefully. I've tried higher end packs, but the Teton Hiker 3700 is the most comfortable and functional. I'm amazed that it is also one of the most affordable and now they have proven to have the most superior customer service. I'm sold on Teton.
