This Works Amazingly Well
This soap really works. I love it and so does my hubby we are both in our mid 40's. I'm in peri menopause he's just getting older.😂 When I told him about this and how it worked on a "mature" odor he was excited to try it as i was. We love it that scent that I thought was peri is gone. He my hubby doesn't have any more weird scents either. We are both huge fans and will continue to purchase this. Lathers great and it doesnt dry out my skin. Even if you think you don't need this if you're over 40 I say try it and see how much better you smell longer. I use this soap first then my regular soap and body wash. Never been so happy with such a simple solution. Love.🫶🏻

Hard milled, long-lasting soap
I love this brand of anti-nonenal soap. My 83 year old father (and my scent receptors) appreciate that it is a long-lasting, traditional soap and not a glycerin-based bar that melts away into nothing just by looking at it. Lathers easily into a foam and cleans well.Pleasant citrus-y smell and while it does leave a slight film in hard water, isn't a problem- as this keeps "old person" smells at bay. Does not dry out or leave skin feeling papery.Highly recommended.

Smells great. Doesn’t last long.
Smells great. Really works well to get rid of the old people smell. Doesn’t foam up very well and doesn’t last very long. Even so I’m going to buy more. It really does work.

Second time purchasing this product
This soap was advertised as a whole body deodorant soap from Japan, so I thought I’d try it. I’m petrified of developing “that old person smell” and this is the only soap I’ve seen that was developed for this purpose. Surprisingly, it also has a lovely fragrance.

Does nothing for nonenal, but nice heft like a french-milled bar of soap.
Does absolutely zero, nada, nothing re: the nonenal body odor. However, it is a nice soap similar to french-milled soaps I have purchased in the past and it will last a long time. Just would not recommend spending this kind of money on this persimmon soap if you are hoping to combat old-lady nonenal body odor. FYI, I recommend washing hair with Prell of all things, that has helped with my nonenal!

Wow! This Works and Each Bar Lasts so Long
I'm not getting old, but apparently my body doesn't know that. I've had a hip replacement and cateract surgery, but those have only made me better (truly!). But now my body is beginning to give of that dreaded "old person smell." At least that's what my wife tells me.There's not a whole bunch you can do when your body starts smelling like that. Washing with normal soap and water doesn't help. In doing my research I found out that there is a effective help for it - a soap containing a persimmon extract that breaks down that odor and washes it away. So I decided to give it a try.But those soaps are so expensive! But then I found this Family Persimmon Soap (2 pack) direct from Japan (with the writing mostly in Japanese, too). It was expensive, but less so than some other brands, so I ordered it.The soap came. It was so small! The first time I used it I noticed how much lather it produced and how hard the soap was. I'm a chemist by background (as well as a pastor) and I decided to run an experiment. After my shower I let the soap dry overnight. Then I weighed it on my scale that can weight in grams. Over a dozen showers I found that the bar of this Persimmon soap was losing slightly less than once gram per shower. I did the same with my regular soap (I started alternating showers with one and then the other) and found that my standard soap (of a well-known brand) lost over three grams per shower. Suddenly, the Persimmon soap was a lot less expensive! One other concern I had was if this soap would irritate my skin. Unfortunately for me, a lot of soap does. But I have had no irritation from this soap. It works really well for cleaning, so much so that my hair (which I'm washing with this, too), is squeaky clean and a little bit stiff (I could use a conditioner, but I don't bother). I'm very pleasantly surprised that it doesn't bother my skin (and that the bar last so very long).Does it work? I never noticed it in the first place, but my wife says that it does. That's good enough for me!

Quality soap, worth the price, sensitive skin people give this a read.
This soap has a STRONG tannin smell, which isn't surprising as persimmons are rich in tannins. Some people may find this smell off-putting. I found it really strong as I was lathering up and washing my body, however, I didn't notice an unpleasant odor when I was actually clean... It was actually a very mild, pleasant scent. As this soap is high in tannins, it does tighten the skin and make it feel dry right after bathing. I would suggest using different persimmon soap that has moisturizer added if you have very dry or sensitive skin. Just my opinion. My average skin felt very tight right after washing BUT so smooth and soft throughout the day. Still, I personally would use a different soap on the groin and face area unless they are very oily. The bar of soap itself is high quality and of good value. It is nicely milled. It lathers well. I used an African net (kind of like the net loofas) and lathered it up. I see a bar lasting a long time. Definitely value for the money.I will definitely be using this soap in the Summer months here in Virginia, when the heat and humidity bri gs on the funk.
