Awesome book
Best science book I ever purchased. Good read for young children interested in astrophysics.

Better than the original !
Both are undoubtedly great books. But the original tends to be overly verbose, bombarding the reader with random facts, stories, and names. This book is a concise summary and triggers that starting point curiousity to dive further and google for further info.

9 out of 10. It is a beautiful book.
The media could not be loaded. It a great book for anyone. But i would recomend it for kids above 10 to read.

Bill Bryson rocks!
A very good start for young readers, introducing Bill Bryson's wonderful style of writing. Will get youngsters hooked to his other books for more grown up readers! Loved the actual book, loved this one too. Great for gifting as well!

Worthy gift for children
A decently sized book that feels good to hold. Has the right content for kids from 3rd to 5th standards. The facts covered are very relevant and there are a lot of illustrations to keep their interest going. The paper is of good quality too.

Strangely not re-written to match the kids format
While it appears as a kid-friendly book, this is just an illustrated edition of Bill Bryson's bestseller. The text has merely been cut-up into smaller chapters, and accompanied by illustrations, but the words and flow have not been re-written to be more suitable for a kids book.It is expressly not suitable for young kids to self-read, as the text flows at a separate pace from the illustrations. Might be better with an adult reading it to them.Quite a disappointment, because the original book is amazing and kids could benefit from a simplified and visually entertaining derivative work. But this is not the book I was looking for.
