I'm prone to anxiety attacks and insomnia. I've taken 0.5mg of Xanax every night for seven years. I was intrigued by the benefits of passion flower and melatonin (which doesn't work for me alone) and determinal to cut back using naural methods. This powder is fantastic! I've been adding a heaping teaspoon to 8 ounces of hot water and add a bit of liquid melatonin. I add some sweetener and drink it about an hour before bed. It's very calming and I find I can cut back on Xanax by a full half and am determined to cut it out completely in the next six weeks. The taste isn't bad and tonight I added a bit of spirulina for a really fantastic tea. I've been waking up the last week very refreshed after a full nights' sleep. So far I haven't woken up once in the middle of the night.

This extract is great; I initially bought it as a sleep aid, and it works well for that, but I discovered that it works nicely as a calming agent as well. When used at bedtime, it helps you fall asleep easily. But when used in the daytime, it has a pleasant calming effect that unlike other supplements doesn't make you drowsy. Bulksupplements' quality is top notch too. The extract smells fresh and is a uniformly fine powder. A different extract that I got from another seller on Amazon, while it had a fresh smell, had small unground chunks of material in it. Anyway, this is a great product sold by a great outfit. Thanks, Bulksupplements, I'll be doing business with y'all in the future.

I'm on the fence about this powder. While I feel it is a high quality, effective product the methods of ingestion are still a work in progress. I find that adding it to an evening cup of herbal tea is the best tasting and easiest method. However I don't always have time or want a cup of tea (bathroom trips in the middle of the night :). I tried to take the powder straight on my tongue and wash it down and nearly gagged- unpleasant. It does not mix well with cold liquid (ends up clumpy and tastes bad). I like the ease of a tablet but the bulk pricing can't be beat.That being said this powder does what it says. Relaxes, reduces anxiety, and promotes peaceful sleep. I am trying something new as I usually use valerian because it acts like a muscle relaxer as well as anxiety reliever, however when taking valerian regularly I started having terrible nightmares. I also like that the Passion flower doesn't cause drowsiness for me- more of a peacefulness. I feel it is nearly as effective as my Ativan for anxiety.

This product has helped balance out my otherwise abnormal mood. Honestly I’m rather shocked (in a good way). It’s better than an SSRI in my opinion. I’m hooked. I take it with my evening sleep time yea and it works wonders to calm. No bad taste, will work in teas.

The powder can be easily made into a tea. Just add hot water and some honey and you will have a great drink that helps with ADHD, anxiety and stress. There are no side effects just a natural calming effect. I even use this in my dogs food that sufferes from anxiety. Passion flower also helps with blodd pressure control. I have been using this for a couple of months and have noticed that I sleep better and stress doesnt bother me nearly as much as it used to.

I have used passionflower extensively, mostly in tincture form, and it can be a really effective relaxant. I noticed almost nothing from decent doses of this stuff though. I really want to like this company's stuff, partly because they fill an important niche for me. I am a professional Chinese herbalist and I use granule extracts, yet there are numerous herbs that aren't part of the TCM pharmacopeia that I need in powdered extract form. However, while my Chinese herb granules are all standardized to 5:1 (i.e. 1 gram of the extract represents 5 grams of raw herb), this company's products are often of undisclosed potency. They don't provide a certificate of analysis any of their products (as far as I know), and they don't say what the extraction ratio is. So, when mixing them into a formula in which I know the potency of all the other herbs, these bulksupplements powders are a nebulous variable, which isn't really professional.
