RJ45 crimp tool works well
The tool works fine. Bought it to install cables in the house and worked as promised. Take note, that there are no instructions that come with this tool.

My favorite crimping tool yet
After a series of moves, my old crimping tool found it's way into a black hole - so I got this one. It's uniquely shaped from any crimping tool I've used in the past. That's a good thing. I've found I prefer this one.I've already made several Cat 6 patch cables for a new setup and it's been awesome. I will say that the RJ45 connectors that come with it are garbage and I tossed them. Not a big deal, I have other ones that I like. I'm more interested in the functionality of the tool.

Works just fine
I was worried tools at this price would turn out to be junk, but it’s totally good enough for the few times I’d need it. I can’t see this breaking from pressing ethernet connectors anytime soon. I haven’t used the included heads though as I bought pass through ones already.

Broke after making 4 cables
Crimp presses pin 1 in to far making cable unusable

Decent for the price, but lacking in a basic function.
This tool crimps well and cuts well, but the strip section of the tool is useless. The hole is too large to strip cat5/cat6 cable. You can still strip with the tool by just using the normal cutting section and being careful not to clamp too hard and cut through the wires inside the outer rubber of cat5/cat6 cable, but if there is a feature on the product that is supposed to function and doesn't, I believe that's a bit of an issue. Not a deal-breaker at the low price and it is possible that my tool is just defective or something. Otherwise, excellent tool and comes with the RJ45 connectors and protectors to make an excellent cable that should last a while. The cutting tool is a razor blade fixed to the handle that slices through cable when you clamp down on the handle. I'm sure it will dull eventually, but long after I've gotten my $30 worth of use out of this tool. The crimp section is in the lower part of the handle and appears that it should last a long time as well. The tool has a lock to keep it closed which is nice for storage.

Good basic set
I got this when I was installing CAT 6 wiring in our house. It worked but there are a few things to note. The connectors that are included are not pass-through, which isn't a problem but if you prefer the pass-through type of connector then you will need to purchase some. I used the connectors included, as well as the hoods (I forget what the covers are called) and the hoods are definitely good with this type of connector as it covers/hides the wires if you don't cut them quite short enough and still have a gap between the connector and the wire sheath. The crimping tool is a very basic tool but it works well and simply. It is marked so it's easy to use to strip the sheath as it is marked where to insert the wire to cut it vs where to insert for stripping the sheath. The tool is compact and easy to use to strip the wire and crimp the connector onto the ends of the wires. It's not a really fancy crimper and doesn't have a wire tester but that wasn't an issue for me. Overall, this kit provided me with everything I needed to create CAT 6 cables.

Does the job except it doesn't clamp the cheap pass-through connectors on at the covering
