Best product for gutters.
Skip the expensive leaf filters and just add these at each downspout. Why are these better than leaf filter?A. Costs lessB. Stops clogging at each downspout which is the real concern.C. Still allows you to periodically access and clean your gutters which you still need to do even with leaf filters.D. Allows more water to flow into gutters during periods of heavy rain.E. Very easy to install.

Fits under 2.9" support
I give this 5 stars for stopping debris from going down the down spout. Larger leaf debris will still dam-up and stop the water from leaving though. This unit will rotate into place without modification under 2.9" or higher support strip (see picture of 2.9")..

Pricey, But My Property is Protected
I bought one a year ago to test out. The gutter is right under a huge Japanese Elm that packs the gutter full of leaves every Southern California "winter." Sadly, there was a bracket inside the gutter, right over the downspout, so the Gutter Stick wouldn't fit. I watched their video on the work-around, which involved using a marking pen where the bracket hits the Stick and then cutting into the Gutter Stick with a saw. It wasn't difficult, and the Gutter Stick fit under the bracket. But would it keep leaves from blocking the downspout? After one full year, I can say, "Yes, definitely. It really works." A couple months ago, I cleaned out accumulated leaves, and this time, I removed the Gutter Stick. Not one leaf had made it into the downspout. And there had been no clogging, no instances of the water rising up and flooding over the top of the gutter.I felt a bit foolish spending so much money on something that seems simple. But it's worth it for the peace of mind. Last month, I bought and installed two more. No brackets were in the way this time. These guys deserve to profit from such a helpful invention.

Look elsewhere.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Terrible product. I just got off my ladder in the middle of a thunderstorm, ripping this out of my gutter. The flow restriction of the product backed up my gutters and water was flowing over the edge. Simply a terrible design and terrible function.

I don't have to clean out gutters as often...Additional not added, rating changed.
These ar a bit pricey but I found they do work for me. I purchased one last year and put it in a downspout opening that I normally would have to clean out twice a year. I checked this spring and the water was draining from the gutter just fine. There was some leaf debris but water was still flowing. I think I can now clean out gutters once a year or maybe two years. I have now put them in all the downspout openings at our house. UPDATE: I have now went through two heavy downpours. Unfortunately, even though the gutters are clean, the size of the opening of these gutter filters is too small and will not allow all the water to go down the downspout. My gutters overflow toward the last several feet of the downspout and causes a lot of water to pool at the foundation. I will be removing the ones I am having the most problems with tomorrow. I really wanted to love these.

I'm hoping these help
I get a lot of leaves and pine needles in my gutters and am hoping these gutter sticks won't clog as quickly as the round metal strainers I was using before. These gutter sticks are made of a nice thick plastic and seem to be good quality. They come with good instructions and were easy to install. I did need to cut out an area on each one so they'd fit under my gutter straps but this was easy to do. Only minus thing I can say about these is at $50 for two I think they're a little high priced .UPDATE: I've had these 4-5 months now and they have worked as promised. I checked yesterday and there was debris all around the gutter sticks but no clogging and the gutter was dry. Nice !

Great purchase for peace of mind
So far very happy with my purchase. I upgraded to 6” gutters and 3x4 downspouts. I was hoping they wouldn’t clog but they did, glad I got these to prevent the downspout from clogging. Do yourself a favor, and buy the gutter stick!
