Adapter compatible? As the plug ports not fit my 2008 jeep grand Cherokee

For me it plug right in no problem no adapter needed.

Had them for a year never experienced any issues with heat.

Will these fit 2009 grand Cherokee lights round bottom or straight bottom ??

No they do not come with the lamps and you cant buy them Individually if one gets damage you will have to re buy them as a set
