1791 Gunleather 1911 Holster - Thumb Break Leather Holster for Belts - OWB Cocked and Locked Carry - Right Hand - Fit 4" and 5" Barrels

Bought this for my Colt Delta Elite 10mm. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and craftsman ship of this holster. It is beautiful. It does take sometime to break in because it is so well made. Make sure you understand that the holster is made to carry the gun cocked and locked and ready to rock. The thumb break will only fit and snap with the hammer cocked. It does block the hammer from the firing pin. Great holster. Highly recommend!

This is the best 1911 holster and probably my favorite owb holster. Hugs real close and makes the weight of the 1911 almost un noticeable. I'd buy a new one when this one ruins. If it ever does...

This company makes a quality product. I am very happy with my choice of finish which was the stealth black.. This means there is no sheen on the leather which is quality…. The cock and lock thumb strap is a bit stiff and you simply need to work it. Repetition is key. I purchased this for my Rock Island Arms 1911A1 and the fit is perfect. 5 inch barrel runs to very end of holster and no slide or parts of weapon outside of the protected leather. Very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend. This is a great value for the money. I also like the location of the belt slots. Great exit or draw angle.

I have purchased several other 1791 items in the past. Like all the others, this holster is very well made. The stitching is uniform and precise. The dying is even and consistent. I was very impressed with how well the thumb break and snap worked. 1791 gear is known for requiring a break in period. Well, my holster seems to have gotten adequately broken in in about 24hrs so I’m happy with that. If this holster is on your radar, I don’t think you will go wrong with it.

Holster is beautiful and works perfectly. The problem I have with it is that there is so much debris on the flesh side of the finished leather that it gets in all the nooks and crannies of my 1911. Like bad!I love the holster and I am sure it will decrease over time but when you have a new gun the holster should not be crapping on it. But like I said, the holster is built very well and has an amazing fit. So I will live with it.

It’s perfect ! I need another one for a Taurus pt100 40cal but I don’t see one for it ?

I stumbled on this holster company and ordered this holster after reading the reviews. The build quality and fit and finish of this product makes me wish that we had open carry. These holsters compliment an expe sive pew pew fantastically. I have six of this companies products now and when I purchase a new pew pew I immediately order another holster and magazine holders from them. Great retention and sometimes I for get that I have it on even with a 1911.

Nice leather, great fit for GI 1911, very secure.
