A bit pricey. Bought it to let my toe heal after an injury. Wasn't too uncomfortable.

I bought these to stabilize my feet in Converse tennis shoes due to my osteoarthritis. I have custom insoles but they are way too big for small sneakers. I pulled up the natural insole of the shoe and slipped the carbon insole underneath, then replaced the insole. In a Converse, there’s enough glue that it seals right up and holds the carbon insole in place. It’s not too easy to switch the carbon insole to other shoes because of the glue under the natural Converse insole. The carbon insole prevents the knuckle of my big toe from bending while I walk. They are comfortable and easy to use. Good quality material. They are true to size, possibly a little on the small side.

If you have a callus on your foot pad below the big toe this device in my case caused a lot of pain in my foot which defeated the purpose of using this device. I also didn't feel it fit correctly in my tennis shoe. I wish I had sent it back right away but I kept hoping it would get better but it did not. This was a waste of $30.00. If you plan on having surgery don't bother wasting your money on it.

This is the best product I have ever used and I have used a lot of them. It virtually illiminated my foot pain. Excellent product worth every cent.

I bought these to help me rehabilitate my big toe after I injured it on the job by maybe stubbing it or extending it too much as I was running and stopping. My doctor sat with me and looked up products online to try and we decided on these.So far so good! It’s been over a year that I’ve had intermittent problems with my big toe and I know the issue is still there but it definitely helps me during the day. I walk 3-10 miles every day for work. On average, about 5 miles. So I needed something to help me.I don’t like that they are just flat, but it works to put it under my current insole.I also stubbed my pinky toe recently and didn’t want to purchase more (I had purchased three of these for my big toe and all my shoes) so I flipped it around and use it in my other shoe for that. So far, so good! My toe still hurts at the end of the day but not near as much as it did. I mean it’s seriously an improvement.One thing to note! I SQUEAK now when I walk. I have three running shoes and I put these under the insoles that came with the shoes. I can’t help but squeak in these when I walk. It helps though that it’s helping me to use them so I don’t mind too much, but it might matter to you. My insoles have sort of a plastic-foam bottom which rubs against the carbon fiber. I thought about putting fabric or something between them but I’m going to leave it alone for now.

I was really hoping to use these because I can feel less pain as soon as I start to walk with the inserts in my shoe, but I would have to buy all new shoes. The inserts make my shoes way too tight even with a size up the shoe is too tight. How do people make these work??

I didn't have high hopes for pain relief of my hallux rigidus. It's gotten much worse over the years. I have bought , and wasted money, on many types of shoes. I am an active hiker, dog walker and nurse. My feet have taken a beating.My recent podiatrist recommended I try this product.I am soooo glad I did. I ordered a larger shoe size, put in the carbon fiber insole and my regular orthotic and off I went. I can walk > 3 miles, or use the treadmill at a brisk pace, and on 7.0 incline, with ZERO great toe pain. I haven't had to use my Sombra pain relief cream on my foot after exericse and not awake at night from the joint throbbing.I have been using it over a month.I can't yet speak to the longevity of the product. I'm hoping that given the price, it lasts 6 months.It is very rigid and would be uncomfortable without a custom or regular shoe insole.May not fit in a snug shoe that just fits, would like need 1/2 size up and a wider toe box (which I get anyway).My review is NOT paid for and I didn't receive any freebie for reviewing this product. I am just so pleased to have such decrease in pain and increase in my level of activity because of this, I wanted to share.
