Fitted quickly works a treat

I have a Karcher K2 which developed a heavy duty internal leak. Usually Id just replace but this time I thought Id have a look inside before ditching it. Taking off the wheels was easy and there are about 8 screws holding it together. Inside, the motor and pump are in a self enclosed unit. That left the outlet pipe which has this elbow as its main constituent. It comes away easily with just a turn. I replaced the o ring but it still leaked so I thought I might as well try a new elbow. This comes with a new o ring and a little tube of silicon grease. It was a job of two minutes. And the leak has stopped. So Id suggest that if you have a leaking Karcher its not the o ring, its the elbow. Easy enough to replace - although you will need a screw driver with a star point and a 10cm shaft as most of the screws are recessed in tight holes. Good luck!
