Easy DIY Install, Great Value & Coverage for a Whole House
I purchased this 10-pack of Ecoey smoke detectors while renovating my house to prepare it for sale. My main requirements were finding an affordable solution that offered full home coverage and was easy enough for me to install myself. This pack delivered perfectly on the installation front. It was incredibly straightforward, and I managed to get all 10 units installed throughout my two-story house in about just one hour. I found both the included mounting brackets and the option for magnetic mounting (if applicable/used) felt very secure once in place. The best part was the savings. By doing this simple DIY project, I avoided spending potentially hundreds of dollars on a contractor. The entire 10-pack cost me around $70, which is fantastic value, especially when you compare it to buying detectors individually for $10 or more each at big box stores.Having 10 detectors meant I could cover every necessary room and hallway across both floors, which is crucial for comprehensive home safety – providing peace of mind for the eventual buyers.Important Note: Because I was selling the house, I didn't personally experience the long-term performance regarding alarm sensitivity (no real events or false alarms), the test button function, or battery life. However, I did verify that immediately after installation, all 10 units showed the red power indicator light was active and working.Overall: If you need to equip a whole house with smoke detectors quickly, affordably, and are comfortable with a very easy DIY installation, I highly recommend this 10-pack. It's a significant time and money saver and provides excellent coverage.

Easy install just tear and tape
I rent an apt for section 8 tenants. The section 8 ask each room must have a smoke and gas alarm. I went home depot which was super expensive. Cost me $35 each. I am glad that I found a good deal here less than $10 each

Great value
A lot for the money. Batteries, screws, magnets, enough for all six detectors. Like that they are small. Probably will see many since HUD is starting new requirements that demand more smoke detectors in each rental unit.

Good replacements but they look cheap
They look smaller than normal and kind do cheap. They flash red on occasion which is annoying. But the magnet is amazing, the reason I got them. It’s hard to pull those down sometimes and I’ve actually been zapped by one before that was hardwired wrong in an apartment, PTSD! These are loud and cold with everything you need!!

Causes false alarms, (literally!!)
I recently purchased another rental condo and I got a 6 something am call from the selling realtor stating that her tenants above my condo were saying my smoke detector has been going nuts for 30 mins or more. She worried the scentsy was causing it to detect smoke or worse. My adult son just hung this smoke detector in the bedroom yesterday and it had not only fallen off the wall (the anchor with screws etc is no good !) but it was on the floor beeping its head off ! I picked it up and tried to remove the 9V and it started to loosen but then would be connected again and start going nuts. I could see how a senior neighbor could become spooked and worry and I am glad she had the decency to call her landlord / selling realtor who has my number and let me know. Luckily my condos aren’t far from home but now my kids are late for school because I had to drive over here and remove the battery to keep the peace with my neighbors! Do not buy this people! We also bought a small one from another brand on a daily deal Amazon had and thankfully (thus far ) it’s not misbehaving like this one is ! You get what you pay for. We have a box full of these for our rent house across town where residents are soon to move in and rent and I am afraid to install them!
