Cell phone to PA MIXER cable
This was exactly what I needed, a stereo 1/8" to a 1/4" mono plug to send the signal without L/R panning to the mixer. Works excellent. Good quality, not frail.

Works as described. Good Quality.
I use this patch cable to send a stereo signal out of my laptop to a mono 1/4 inch input in a guitar amplifier so that I can practice along with YouTube videos. The cable works great sending the left and right channels to the mono input in the guitar amplifier.I would definitely purchase again.

Useful as summer stereo 1/8" to mono 1/4"cable
Most of the cables found around here with 1/8" stereo to 1/4" mono, such as Disino or Colicoly brands, are only for duplicating a mono signal, to stereo. They state clearly that, if used as a stereo output, to mono input, it could damage the stereo output stage of the device. Scary, to say the least. This Hosa product, on the other hand, states that it can be used both ways. What a relief! A very easy to overlook but key feature. Bought two and I use the for stereo to mono signal summing without worries.

If used correctly, it'd probably be pretty good
I bought this so I coaches at my gym could play their phones through the PA system. The sound amp I use only has one 1/4" mono input, and I had a cable that would split a stereo headphones cable into two 1/4" mono cables, with each 1/4" plug obviously carrying a channel. I could only plug one channel in at a time and thus would only hear some aspects of the music being played (vocals sounding really distant, loud baseline only some of the time, etc). So this cable is being used to "blend" the two channels together into one mono channel. It does work but it hinders the sound quality, it mostly makes the music sound tinnier as well as quieter. I could compensate for it being quieter by turning up the volume but it still sounds kinda tinny, but I do hear both channels now and that makes up for it.It does say this cable is meant to distribute one mono output source across both channels of a stereo input, so almost opposite of how I'm using it. I assume if I used it how it's intended then it would be great.

Well made and at a reasonable price
First, this cable was hard to find and was out of stock when I ordered it. It took several weeks to get it but it was worth it.I like to practice my bass along with solo tracks wearing headphones so I don't disturb the family. This cable runs from my laptop with a 3.5mm jack, which plays the solo track, to a mixer with 1/4" jacks that I have my bass also plugged into on another channel. I plug my headphones into the mixer and get the right mix in my headphones. There's not much to say about the cable except I've been using it now for quite a few months. It is holding up fine, is well shielded, and delivers the audio to my mixer as desired.

heaven sent
I perform in a duo with me on piano and a lead singer up front and in this set up it is vital to have a tablet or laptop to play backing tracks. However, finding a good connection from the device to the mixer was a huge challenge for me since my mixer is mono but my laptop feeds both left and right (stereo). After using this cable once I was amazed at how clean and clear the music was and I could hear all the different parts in my backing tracks since the 1/4 inch jack although mono, has been bridge so that its plays both left and right. The customer who rated 1star really did not understand what they were looking for and there for giving a false impression on the product. So far I have no reason to complain about the length but that's something that will have to play out with time. What I would suggest though is to buy more than just one cable as it feels a bit flimsy but I highly recommend this cable.

Hosa CMP-105 1/4" TS to 3.5 mm TRS Mono Interconnect Cable
It took a while to find this cable. I was looking for something to connect a guitar headphone amp with stereo out to a mono guitar amp input and it works very well. I highly recommend this cable.
