Love this pot!
I love the look and quality of this pot. I tried ceramic cookware from Lodge and it was not a good experience. I purchased this because I wanted a ceramic coated cast iron that I could depend on. This Dutch oven is wonderful. I love that it’s taller and keeps more space on the stove top. It’s the perfect capacity to make great soups. The lid is heavy and keeps the moisture in the top and makes food more flavorful. It’s well worth the price.

Love this piece
On top the the black interior and design of cover that keeps steam water inside, the tall body is a space saver, for storage, for space on stove and when serving on table. I cooked 5 pounds of stew pork legs with bones for Chinese new year eve dinner. Stuck it in oven, went shower, and it was all done by the time I returned to the kitchen. A beautiful piece! Must have.

Beautiful, well made dutch oven at a price that won't break the budget.
I love everything about this pan. The exterior is a beautiful ruby red. The interior, being black, doesn't show stains like my light colored interior braiser from another brand does. It heats perfectly on my glass top stove and retains even temps in the oven. Saw a couple reviews about rough handles, chips and rust. There are raised letters saying Staub on the handles but I don't find them rough at all, maybe because being cast iron the pan require pot holders when handling during cooking. Having owned several enameled cast iron dutch ovens at different price points I can say that if cared for and stored properly the higher end products (Staub and Le Creuset) will not chip or rust.

An excellent all around cook pot and a great value compared to Le Creuset
Made in France, very nice quality, excellent all around size, perfect for making beef Bourgogne or other stews, chilis, soups, etc.

Great quality item and an amazing price when on sale
I scored a deal with this item on sale. It arrived well packed with no damage. While there is a small nick on the side of the lid, it is not noticeable and does not affect the pot at all. It's one of the safest types of cookware you can buy. Staub is a standout each time way over the other brands in its class. The red color is so beautiful, giving your kitchen a touch of color and class.

Great dutch oven (cocoette) -- so, so attention to detail and finish Q/C
Staub make a great dutch oven. This is the second I've purchased. The first has been in use for over 20 years and is bullet-proof. This one arrived with the knob detached and rolling around inside. It had clearly been rattling around for awhile as there were lots of flakes of the chrome plating all over the inside of the cocotte. It took a good bit of scrubbing to get all them all out of the inside and now the knob looks pretty crappy. Its pretty surprising that they don't check the tightness of the knob before releasing it from production.

Good looking
I really like the pot for its good looking. I use it to make some dishes that take several hours to cook. It is heavy of course so not very easy to wash.
