Reliable, Fast & Travel-Friendly – Great External SSD!
I’ve been using this 1TB SSD to back up all my travel photos and videos, and it’s been absolutely perfect. The transfer speed is super fast, which makes it easy to offload everything quickly after a trip. It’s really compact and doesn’t take up any space in my bag, which is great when I’m on the move. I’ve accidentally dropped it a few times, and it’s held up without any issues—super durable! If you’re looking for a reliable and fast external hard drive for backing up photos and videos, especially while traveling, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Great Storage Capacity From A Reliable Company
I have used this particular brand of storage for years with the same trustworthy results. The unit is small and compact yet boasts the saving of a massive 2 Terabytes of data. Now comes with a cable end converter that allows both USB 2.0 and USB 3 connection, which should facilitate almost all computer connections. The data transfer is quite fast and the process to use is simple.Once plugged into a PC, whether Apple or Windows, the window opens up to display the pre-installed software that should be activated to make the drive secure.Once this is set up you should create a simple password for first time use. This then allows the unit to be protected against data loss.It can be configured to 'remember' certain PC's so as it does not ask for the password every time used. This feature is great because if you lose the unit - it will not allow access to your data without the password. The unit is lightweight and small enough to slip into any laptop pouch or a pocket or handbag.More than happy to recommend.

Small to carry with you at all times - good storage capacity
Amazing and quite small so you can carry it with you easily. Transfer of files is done pretty quickly.

Not as fast as expected but a great little SSD
Brilliant, pocketable little device allowing you to easily carry 'everything' with you. It seems to be well-made and robust but the drawbacks may outweigh the advantages for some people.DRAWBACKS:1. Transfer is MUCH slower than expected, regardless of temperature. Using the front USB3 port of my Windows 10 i7 PC, which has a very fast NVMe 'C' drive, it takes a disappointing 8 seconds to copy an album to/from the Sandisk compared with 5 seconds to/from my portable USB3 Transcend HDD. It only takes 11 seconds to/from a very old USB2 Buffalo HDD.It would probably transfer faster via a rear USB port but I don't understand why the Sandisk SSD is that slow compared with the Transcend. It is a bit tedious making large transfers, taking a whopping 60% longer than the Transcend HDD that I HAD hoped it would replace.Copying to/from USB 'C' on my i5 Surface-Pro is a bit quicker BUT it takes a few seconds saying, 'Preparing to transfer' so a single album transfer is even slower.2. It is so small that it is very easy to forget where I left it ;)ADVANTAGES:1. Small & easily pocketable - about the size of a Weetabix but half the thickness.2. Robust - I think.3. Fast enough - for most purposes.4. Light - 58g.A qualified recommendation!UPDATE:I have now found that transfer speed is MUCH faster if you use the very short cable that is provided with the device. Unfortunately it is difficult to use that with my set-up.I still don't know why the Transcend HDD is so much faster than the Sandisk SSD with a 1 metre, high quality cable. What is so special about the very short Sandisk cable? What it does reveal is that there are genuine differences between digital cables. You often read claims that it is not worth buying expensive digital cables but in this instance there is a BIG difference. Is that purely to do with the length of the cable? I doubt it. Electrons travel along a 1m cable in an almost un-measurable time.Although originally a sceptic, have long recognised that hifi interconnect and speaker cables really can make a difference to the sound. I am interested to learn that digital cables are also significantly different.

Impressive
Compared to burning DVDs or using USB thumb drives of various qualities that range from slow to glacial, this SanDisk SSD, at a capability of 2000 MB/s, really makes backups a breeze. It took only a few minutes to backup 32 Gigs of data of pdf, mp3, mp4, etc. By default, users will connect directly to a USB port on their computer. However, connected by a USB 3 extension cable of only 2-metres that I employ, so as not to damage USB ports my main computer, that works fine for USB thumb drives or a webcam, it is a definite no-no for this USB drive: Directories will not build, files will not copy . . . Via a direct connection, everything works as it is supposed to work. Not knowing this, I was a heartbeat away from sending it back as hopelessly erratic in its operation, to be of any use :-)
