I went with the longest length on top, so there was room for mistakes, and 1/2 inch shorter back of the head and sides, the another half inch shorter still for bottom of neck and towards the ears and sideburns. Amazing product. With the blending scissors, which help cut down any chunkiness, it was a close-to-professional cut my first time. Not perfect (yet, LOL), but most people would assume he'd been to the barber.

I’ve never cut anyone’s hair in my 59 years but decided to give this a try because it looked pretty easy…and it was! I bought the pack with everything thing in it. The scissors are very comfortable and I know scissors because I do a lot of sewing. My boyfriend was my ‘client’ cause his hair was so unruly. At first I used the longer guides with shorter ones for the feathering and it came out really nice. The next day he asked me to cut it shorter and I was thrilled! It’s really easy to get the hang of it and by the end I was changing guides really fast and a few times eyeballed it without the guides. I can’t wait to do it again! I’m going to read the pamphlet that comes with it in more detail because it is helpful. The only thing that would make this perfect is including a barber cape to keep the hair off but that’s easy enough to buy on Amazon. It’s so much fun! Totally recommend it!

I was desperate to have a hair cut after being homebound for almost a year during Covid. My hair had grown so long, I had no idea how to style it any longer and it was taking longer and longer to dry, etc. After watching the videos a few times, I felt I could do the front and sides of my hair and if need be, I'd ask my daughter to do the back of my hair. The problem was, my hair would curl over the comb making it difficult to see where to cut which was very traumatizing to my daughter and she kept saying, you are going to kill me! But having waited so long to get my hair cut, I was fearless and had her continue to cut my hair to a more manageable length. She kept saying I had huge gaps in the back of my head but once I washed my hair, it looked great. I've always loved short, over the ears style haircuts and wore my hair that way when I was younger. I'm back! Even my daughter will admit, it looks good. And I'm sure cutting my hair the next time it is slightly overgrown, will be much easier to do with the same great results.
