So glad I bought this
Now that I have made several recipes out of this book, I think the reviews I read before buying this were too critical.I’ve enjoyed every single recipe I’ve made. They are tasty, fragrant with spices, haven’t caused me any physical problems, and digest well.Does the butter chicken taste like butter chicken? Not really but, THERE’S NO BUTTER IN IT. It is still delicious without butter or whatever else was substituted. You may be thinking that this food won’t agree with you because Indian food is spicy. My kid (who hates spices of all kinds) has consumed every meal I’ve made from this book and never even peeped a complaint. If you want to cook for a crowd of critics, you will be disappointed. If you want to make some different and tasty foods, this book hits the mark 100%.I would have taken some pictures, but, I ate it all.

Great recipes for AIP
So far I love this book. It is easy to understand and the recipes are delicious. I've noticed the change in inflammation and I've just started cooking these recipes.

This book is a lifesaver!
Five stars! This book is a lifesaver! The information is meticulously laid out so I know what to do. Has resource suggestions to aid in finding unusual ingredients. And reintroduction timeline of foods and how to do it. The recipes are great. Have made four of the flatbreads and they will be part of my permanent diet as I usually eat gluten free breads. There is enough flavor that I am not missing the cayenne heat for the time being

One of the best overall cookbooks I've ever purchased. Seriously.
6 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with an Autoimmune disease and decided to embark on AIP protocol.I consider myself a pretty creative home cook, but I was badly missing my favorite international flavors. I happened upon the author's YouTube channel, Cook2Nourish, and her lovely blog. Knowing that I would need help in keeping myself on the strict elimination phase of AIP, I decided to order the book and try several recipes before I gave my review.I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cookbook!"114 allergen friendly recipes with no grains, legumes, eggs, dairy, nuts, seeds, nightshade, or soy."So far, I've made the Cassava Roti, Sri Lankan chicken Curry, Shahi Kofta Curry, red onion pickle, sticky mango 'rice', sweet potato pancakes, Chaat Masala mix, ginger-garlic paste, creamy mashed cassava, cabbage and pineapple salad.Everything has been delicious! 💜 The directions are clear and easy to follow. Each recipe has a beautiful picture.I've also served these recipes to friends who are not on AIP, and they were thrilled and raved about how delicious everything was.Do yourself [and this wonderful author] a favor and order this book! I couldn't have stuck to the Autoimmune Paleo protocol as long as I have without the help of this book. We're on week 6 and counting since my diagnosis and starting on AIP.👍 And I intend on diving into more of these lovely recipes! This book has help tremendously in making all these big lifestyle changes.I will definitely and happily use these recipes for many years to come.Buy a copy for yourself, and a friend! You won't regret it. This book was an obvious labor of love.

its ok
I love Indian food and like many, have had a difficult time finding recipes for AIP. I do have one cookbook I use frequently, but was looking for more variety. I wish there was a way to preview this book prior to purchase. I likely would not have bought it. It did not provide the variety I was wanting. It has a few recipes that are interesting. It has some ingredients that were difficult to locate. There are recipes that call for an ingredient by one name and when transferred to the page to prepare the ingredient, it goes by a different name. I decided to keep the book. I will continue to try the recipes.

Delicious, beautiful food with a side of healing.
I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I was to discover Indira’s blog & then this book. Indian cuisine has a special place in my heart (and belly). Last year, I discovered I had an autoimmune condition & I quickly discovered that my likelihood to have an autoimmune flare was very much correlated to the foods I was eating. Thankfully I found the AIP healing diet & my symptoms are now practically nonexistent. And as much as I love the nutrient dense & beautiful foods I eat daily, I found myself longing for some of my favorite cuisines, like Indian. Most AIP Indian inspired recipes online tend to have no more than some ginger & turmeric. Then I discovered Indira. The ingredient lists were unique & contained ingredients I had never even seen before (you will definitely need to make a trip to an Indian market and/or shop for some ingredients on Amazon-trust me, it’s worth it!!). Upon making my first recipe from her new book, my home instantly was filled with a warm, rich aroma that reminded me of my favorite Indian restaurant. The pictures are gorgeous. The meal plan in the back of the book makes meal prep a breeze. And the ingredient guide in the beginning of the book is a lifesaver!! Where to find ingredients, what they taste like, what substitutes can be used. This is such a well thought out labor of love.Finding this book is truly a gift. No longer do I have to sacrifice flavors I love in order to feel well. Thanks to this book I can continue to heal my body while also enjoying delicious & beautiful food inspired by Indian cuisine.
