Amazing on roasted potato cubes!
!!! 😲😋 I used these on roasted potato cubes and it was SO GOOD. Before I was just using regular black pepper and it didn't taste nearly as good. I use lots of alligator pepper, and slightly less of rosemary and thyme. The rosemary and thyme leaves I threw in with the pepper grains into a coffee grinder to blend into a powder. (Be careful with the pepper grains because a little will grind into a lot of powder) I add extra virgin olive oil to the potatoes then add the herb mixture, and then sprinkle on a generous amount of paprika which also helps to give them the flavor and color of french fries. And finally lots of salt. Baked at 440°F for 45 minutes.

Great sub for pepper!
My husband is allergic to regular pepper. Grains of paradise allows me to get that peppery flavor into my cooking without having to hand my husband a bottle of Benadryl with his iced tea at dinner. LolGreat stuff.

Hard to grind
Love this, but had to buy a new pepper mill to grind it.

My Second Purchase of This Wonderful Spice
I have never had this before, so was eager to try it. It's a nice peppery / fruity flavor, with a tiny bit of a bite in the back of the tongue. Really an interesting addition to all sorts of dishes. Best when cracked a bit in a grinder.

Disappointed
Maybe I am not using these correctly. I put them in a pepper grinder and have ground them onto various foods. Couldn't detect any flavor. Will try adding them to a dish while cooking, hoping that will bring out some of the flavor I hoped to experience.
