Great film

Even I Thought Snake Plisken Was Dead.Great Follow On Film, Plenty Of Action, Humour And Kurt Russell Is Still A Good Action Star.Interesting Supporting Cast And Screen Play.

Snake is back! Escape From L.A. is the sequel to the cult classic Escape From New York. As I have said in the heading for this review it is partly a remake and partly a parody which makes the film camp and fun which some viewers may not of wanted from this film as Escape From New York was more dark but that's not to say that the first film didn't have humour or cartoony characters its just L.A. ramps everything up like most sequels do.The plot is pretty much a retread and Kurt Russell is great as Snake again, the screenplay is full of wit, there are plenty of colourful characters and some great scenes, my personal favourite being the Basketball game.Some of the special effects are a little clunky like most of the CGI from the mid nineties but that also lends a bit of charm to the film so I recommend catching up with Snake Plissken in this tongue in cheek adventure.

Gosh I love Kurt Russell as he is, but as Snake Plissken he is even more of a dish.The storyline though very futuristic, and kinda ewwie in some parts(wacky beverly hills surgeons*scary*lol) still very believable, loved the surfing hehe.Anyways this is a short review, but it is so because i have nothing bad to state, Ive watched this film over 30 times and still id go back for more, but then K.R. also is one of my two favourite actors.lol.The characters are awesomely chosen like in NY, Im really glad Kurt was Plissken again, as S.P. simply would not have been the same without him.The accent Kurt puts on is just sexy and nothing but.Kinda hate the fact the poor guy always gets to walk away with a terrible limp.Nice touch he sets out world electricity in the end, it summons his character up again from tearing the tape in Escape from NY to this, its the sort of thing Snake Plissken would do.*swoons* Truely wish S.P. was "real" lol, he is like the guy you have always desired or always wanted to be.

John Carpenter and Kurt Russell team up again to tell another story about the crazy and daring exploits of "Snake Plissken", criminal renegade supreme. The story which is set in the near future is along similar lines as "Escape from New York" but is set on the West coast of America in Los Angeles instead. The plot is slightly different to the first film and can be considered formulaic by nature but is no less enjoyable. The costumes and sets are very good and make the dystopian feel of future L.A. completely believable and engrossing to experience. This film is a Sci-fi romp with a little gore and black humour thrown in for good measure, as only John Carpenter can deliver it. If you love John Carpenters other films then chances are that you will love this one too. If you haven't seen any of John Carpenter's films then this film is a great introduction to crazy world of John Carpenter's mind and it will bring you many hours of enjoyment. I you loved "Mad Max" then this is right up your street!

This is a good movie that shows what was predicts about what would happen if the U.S. government were to become a totalitarian state and what it would be like, as well as what a totalitarian prison system would look like in that form of government. It also shows that everyone who doesn't fit (people who speck out against the government, as well as those who are undesirable) their idea would be placed in prison with actual criminals. This movie addresses what things would be like with a government run police force that enforces a totalitarian government and total control, and what could happen if a President decided to install himself/herself as a lifetime President.

La película llegó a tiempo y en buen estado. La película. La considero de serie B, no recordaba los malos efectos especiales, parecen de Playstation 1, la historia es similar a la.de escape.de new York, pero aca es en los angeles, el nivel de producción si es modesto, pero el personaje Snake vale la.compra de la pelicula, de ahi salio Metal Gear. Subtítulos en español. Tal vez no valga la pena el 4k porque así se evidencia más los pobres efectos especiales.
