I have a friend in the business and he recommended this unit to me. I am so happy with it. It works exactly as advertised and is a great quality unit. The app is easy to use, but don't forget your username because it can be a pain to get back in. Knowing that, you should know that the customer service for this unit is awesome! I had a few issues with the install. It didn't want to do its update, but customer service was able to force it from their end. I highly recommend this unit! I have been using it for one year now.

Good: Feature-packed, high amperage, adjustable charging power, warranty, attractive and informative easy-to-use app, looks appealing once installedNot so Good: ExpensiveWe went with Wallbox after we had two Level 2 chargers die on us in a period of about 2 years. Initially, the price really turned us off since we could find 32-amp Level 2 chargers for about half of what we ended up paying for our Wallbox. However, those chargers weren’t nearly as feature rich (and reliable, in hindsight) as the Wallbox. The app is great, if a bit simple, which is a positive to me. You have all kinds of options that will allow you to control your charger (including the ability to manually set charging amperage), calculate your energy usage, track specific patterns of use, even calculate your electricity cost from charging (my personal favorite, since people have started claiming that EVs are as expensive to own as ICE vehicles)!I installed this myself with a drill in about 10 minutes. Electronic setup took another 5-10 and we have had no problems whatsoever with this device since that installation. The warranty was a big plus for us since we’ve already had two malfunctions. Truly the only drawback to this charger is the higher price. In my opinion, the price is absolutely worth it and depending on long-term reliability (looking great so far), Wallbox is a brand that’s earned our loyalty. We hope they keep great products coming!

**One year Update** it's been working flawlessly. Very happy with it.The EVSE works great. I have the 40 amp model. Charges my VW ID4 at 27-29 miles per hour in the winter (battery heater eating some power) I've seen 36 miles per hour in more tepid weather (70°-85ish). Generally charges at 32 miles per hour in hotter summer weather provided the battery cooling system isn't running.They have excellent customer service. Had a strange issue that they were extremely helpful with getting sorted out in a thorough timely manner which involved themovernight shipping a replacement EVSE (An internal, non replaceable fuse blew) The issue did not affect how well the Pulsar Plus charges. It only hindered the app from being able to accurately track the kWh and cost associated.As you can see in my photos I opted to mount the unit inside my basement next to the window adjacent to my driveway. I replaced one of the glass panels of the louvered window with 1/4" plexiglass I then cut and trimmed for the cable to pass through and frosted the plexiglass. This does two things.*First... it keeps the Pulsar Plus out of the sun/heat so there's no possibility of overheating in the summer. It's not uncommon for Philadelphia area temps to be in the upper 90's and occasionally 100°+.**Second but more important concern for me is security. They say out of sight out of mind right? The ring light is very very noticeable in a dark driveway at night no matter what the color.*I hope the folks at Wallbox are reading this*... The bright ring light stays on 24/7. If I mounted it outside in my dark driveway, that could attract the attention of would be thieves. **Hopefully in a future app update we will be able to turn that light off when not charging through the app without having to go down the basement to shut off the breaker.

I purchased this charger more than a year ago for my home charging needs. Ease of installation was amazing and it has functioned well until recently when the system underwent a charging error. I followed the simple app instructions for troubleshooting, but when that didn’t work, reached out to Wallbox customer support. They quickly determined that the charging station had an engineering fault and promptly replaced it. In the interim, I attempted to install the charger that came with my vehicle and determined that I was even appreciative of Wallbox simplicity and effectiveness.
