Great Bath Fan Upgrade
I replaced two-12 year old 4” exhaust fans with these units with 6” exhaust vents. I only had to modify the ceiling opening a bit either way. The collapsible frame made the install much easier and reduced my time up in the attic space. I’ve installed three similar Panasonic (low sone, high flow, 6” exhaust fans), just no lights, at our other properties, so these were super easy to install. For this model, I did not wire the two light stages seperately, instead I only wired the fan light to the same circuit as the fan, but I like that there is the option to tri-wire everything separately in the future. Super happy with these high flow, ultra quiet and effective fans. The 700 lumens warm light is really bright too.

Wow! Better Than Expected, Super Quiet and Powerful!!!! Easy to Install
Wow! This is SO quiet when I first powered it on for testing I thought it was defective, then I noticed the motor was turning but SO quietly! I have mine set to 150CFM and it does "ramp up" to that speed, and when it reaches 150CFM it is audible, but definitely not loud (even at 150CFM it's MUCH quieter than the 50CFM Broan/Nutone we had before). The LED is a bit "white" for a 3000K, but not too white. The bathroom I installed this in has had poor ventilation for years, the 50CFM Broan/Nutone was loud an inadequate for the size of the room. My bathroom mirror and windows were always foggy and the walls looked "wet" after taking a hot shower. For the first time in 8 years I just took my normal hot shower and NO foggy mirrors, windows or damp walls!Installation was easy, except Step 4 "Install circular exhaust duct" could be clearer. In this step you use the self-tapping screws to attach the adapter (holding the wiring and exhaust duct) to the bracket - but there are no words describing this, and the illustration is likewise unclear. I ended up installing this ABOVE the drywall ceiling, but discovered later it had to be BELOW the drywall ceiling (and flush with it). Also, the unit has a 6" duct but many homes have existing 4" ductwork - I wish Panasonic provided a properly sized adapter (I bought one knowing I'd have to reduce for existing ductwork, but I was afraid to crimp the duct on this unit because it has a flapper that opens into the duct when the fan is running and it's tight, I was afraid it would impede it or cause it to become stuck open and allow cold air in). Overall it was an easy install, much easier than I expected. On a scale of 1 to 10 this is an 11, couldn't be happier with it!

High quality, quite, and worth it.
This thing really is super quite. I haven't found anything at the big box store that competes with the stats on this thing, the higher CFM you go the louder they got. Hell, I even pulled my father in law into the bathroom to show off how nice this thing is. It's worth the extra cash you will pay and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new fart fan.

Super Quiet.
This is as quiet as it says. The old fan measured 64dB which is same as a noisy street. This fan, even on the high setting measures 47.5dB which is a quiet whisper. Installation was easy - remember to get the 6" to 4" adapter to fit an existing flex duct. The Led light is bright as well. Great product if you are looking for a quiet exhaust fan.

Cake to install
The hardest part of the install was cutting the hole to the proper size after replacing a previous fan. (And that wasn't very hard at all). If you have attic access it's even easier. Here's some simplified instructions -1) Install the bottom of the metal bracket flush with the top of the bathroom ceiling sheetrock (or the bottom of the joist in the attic - same thing).2) Screw it into the joists with the self-tapping screws that are right there waiting for you in the bracket.3) Connect up the electric and ducting to the detachable piece.4) Slide the fan up into the bracket and detachable electrical/duct piece.5) Spackle/Caulk up/Foam up any cracks between the sheetrock and bracket. No sense sucking attic air back up into the attic right?6) Screw in the fan to the bracket. Screw in (1 screw) and connect the detachable electrical/duct piece.7) Attach the cover plate.Simple as can be.I obviously set this using the switch to 150CFM ... More power is always better for these things IMO. Sucks the steam out of the room every time - VERY QUICKLY and QUIETLY, you almost wont even know it's on/working.Very happy with it so far... Hope to get a lifetime of service out of it.

Quietest fans available
I’ve been recommending and installing Panasonic exhaust fans for quite a few years now. It started when I was working on a bathroom remodel for a contractor friend of mine who only wanted Panasonic exhaust fans installed. After installing my first one, I was impressed with the build quality and sound level. I removed my “so called quiet” Nutone fan in my bathroom and replaced it with a Panasonic fan. What a difference. I now recommend Panasonic fans to all of my customers. I recently installed one in a bathroom and was standing below it with the home owner while it was running. He couldn’t even hear it and thought that it wasn’t even on. They are that good.

Great unit … if you can install it!!!
The instructions are not user friendly, but if you figure them out it’s a great unit: quiet fan and brite white LED light!
