I didn't really have any issues using this (like many of the reviews mention). I did have to be slow and careful though and learned that you really want to pull it towards you, not push it away - so you can hold the dough down with your other hand.It cut well, it has a very good heft and is dishwasher safe.

I used this to make a lattice topper for a beef Wellington. Came out looking great.

I bought this for my sister who is the family pie baker extraordinaire! It arrived with no directions. She loved the concept and wants to try it on a Beef Wellington. She is quite the perfectionist and wasn’t happy with her first try using it on a cherry pie. She is challenged now and the next one will be a show stopper, I’m sure.

This tool is not perfect by any means, but is easier to use and understand once you get the hang of it. Initially, the product did not stay together, in which I had to get tools to tighten the roller part. Kind of annoying as the product does not say “assembly required.” Either way, decent lattice tool for baking.

My son made his first beef Wellington with this and it was very easy to use on the puff pastry and turned out beautifully. Good heft and ergonomics.

My unit came un assembled with no instructions. Had to attach it to the handle by bending and re-bending frame. Don’t know if it was a one off or they all come this way. Needed it right away so had to make it work.
