Industrial quality typical of Wilton products
These are heavy frame c-clamps with a properly sized (large diameter) acme screw and spherical foot attachment. Particularly in a home shop setting you can expect a lifetime of service from this product. To be sure these clamps are far superior to any of the junk c-clamps the big box stores market (including Sears). The Amazon price is also quite reasonable as I purchased my clamps as a package of two. Checking other internet sources the Amazon price was just about half of what other tool houses were offering at the time. The only downer here is that these Wilton products are now made in China. Yes, to help keep American manufacturing alive I am willing to pay more for US made products.

Best clamps for metal working.
I use these clamps daily, I have a large collection. I like the color, as no one else uses these, and are easy to find. They hold strong, and don't distort.

Great clamp! Bad paint!
Great clamp! Only issues that I have found is that the paint is chipping off but still gets the job done.

Best C Clamps money can buy
These are very robust compared to almost all other C clamps. just so happens the OSHA yellow version is cheaper than the non-yellow version. The only difference is the yellow paint.

Overpriced
This clamp is made in China and has a yellow coating of plastic (not paint) that chips off right and left as you use it only to reveal rusty cast iron underneath. Also the gear is not smooth at all.

Wilton C-clamps not what they used to be.
I had a need for 2 heavy duty 8" c-clamps and when I saw these on Amazon, I was smitten, so I purchased them. The reason I chose these over something I could obtain locally at that "big cheap tool store" was that these were manufactured by Wilton, a brand known for producing quality American made vices, clamps and other assorted tools. I liked that these were brightly colored, as I use them in the field (construction equipment mechanic) and loosing tools is always a bummer. I don't think you could loose these if you tried.... Unless you went blind from welding without a mask on....Unfortunately these clamps left me disappointed. The bright finish is chipping off at an alarming rate. While this doesn't effect the performance of the tool, it does create paint chips that leaves a neon colored mess on the floor. When most of the paint is worn off, I won't have that problem, but neither will it be as visible when I am trying to avoid loosing them . If they were powdered coated instead of painted with cheap paint applied with minimal prep, this may not have been a problem. The screw threads are not of very good quality and feel rough and sticky when being turned to adjust the clamp. I was able to take some lapping compound mixed in with some light oil, apply this to the threads to lap them in. That made them much better, but even after cleaning, it will accelerate the wear on the thread and will reduce the usefully life of this tool somewhat. But as least they are more of a pleasure to use. But I should not need to take a new tool straight from the box and "fix" it.The last issue I have relates to their place of manufacture.... which no doubt plays into the quality issues. I expected that they were US made, but they are not. They are Chinese made. The bright color should have warned me to that fact. They are using that fancy looking color to hide quality issues and make the item more marketable. If Wilton made these in a Chinese factory, then shame on them. If they sold their name or license it to someone to produce an inferior product that appears to be theirs, the double shame on them. In any event, I will no longer purchase Wilton products, as I consider them all suspect.I will add that these clamp frames are forged, but from what, I don't know. Considering everything else, I would not think it's of a quality steel.
