Very well packed for hot weather
I freeze these and put a few in the blender for a fruit smoothie every day, so I don't really care if they are melted since they get crushed anyway, but several reviewers were unhappy with melted product. I just wanted to say they seem to have addressed that with ice packs and a Styrofoam container. My order took 8 days to ship via USPS, from Sacramento CA to Houston TX in the middle of July. They arrived cool and not at all melted.

Basically like Whoppers
They were packed nicely in a bag with ice and arrived on time. I was anxious to see if they were what I wanted and tasted them immediately. They pretty much tasted like whoppers. They are NOT the triple dipped malted milk balls but the taste is okay. I probably won’t buy again because I have grown to LOVE the triple dipped malted milk balls. But if that’s not an issue for you then these are fine.

It was great candy. If you like whoppers?You’ll love these malted milk balls .These are 10 times better. I order a couple times. And their awesome. Not melted.Packaging was spot on!! Thank you for a great product.

The taste of the malted milk balls was all wrong, i.e. metal, chemical-like taste!
The flavor had a "metal" type taste. The ingredients label is full of content that may be the reason why. I know what excellent malted milk balls are suppose taste as you respond to the melting chocolate and then the crunch of the malt flavor. The malt flavor is very sensitive to create in a recipe. It does not respond well to too many ingredients mixed in it. I have never had as much trouble with an Amazon order as I did this one. I will not order from The Smarty Stop again. Nuts.com has a better product and is closer to the real thing which was made by Goelitz, a candy company that was bought by Jelly Belly I think. I cannot even pull up chocolate malted milk balls on the Jelly Belly website.

Deceptive picture on Malted Milk Balls
The media could not be loaded. The malted milk balls are definitely not “gourmet”. Small ones, medium and nothing like the picture of malted milk balls. The taste of the chocolate is not “gourmet”, nor is the malt taste.
