KitchenAid KFEW6L Flex Edge Beater for 6-Quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers - White

What happened to this flex edge mixer blade design? It’s terrible.
The new model of this mixer blade is not very good. It only has the scraper on one side, so you get half the mixing power of the old one. It also doesn’t have any center metal supports, so the batter in the middle often doesn’t get mixed up at all because it doesn’t have anything to force it to go to the outside of the bowl. For the price of this thing you’d think Kitchenaid would do better. They shouldn’t have changed their old design. Maybe they just wanted to save money. Believe me it’s overpriced and it’s junk. I am going to look for something different.

Disappointed in product
As this was actually a KitchenAid, I expected much more from it. I still need to scrape the bowl and due to the design it actually creates a "ridge" of food around the top of beater. Quality is good, but I had another brand which worked brilliantly, but it was made of hard plastic rather than metal of the KitchenAid and it eventually broke, so I ordered the KitchenAid, but the other one did a much better job.

Unsure if this is the correct beater?
I ordered this beater for my Kitchen Aid Pro Mixer, Model #4KV25HOXMC5, which is a bowl lift mixer; this beater clicked into place, but did not fit properly to the bowl. I took a picture of the included info for determining which beater is correct for your model. My model was not listed, but when I did a search of my model, it says 4.73 L (5 Quart). Therefore, I would need a KFE5T - Amazon listing: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004A15870/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1I'm including this info in case it helps someone else. =)Mar 5/20 - I ordered the KFE5T, but it didn't fit for my model, it was smaller than my original beater. In short... I have no idea which is the correct beater for my model.

Did not fit my 20+ year old lift-bowl machine
This paddle was larger than the description stated. It didn't have to be very much larger for it to be too big. My older (20+ years) KA lift-bowl machine (6-qt) needs attachments that are very specific. The dimensions given in the listing were very close to the actual dimensions of my existing paddle attachment, but the scraper paddle I received was too wide at the top (including the rubber scraper), they do not include the scraper in the dimensions unfortunately. If you have a much newer 6-qt lift-bowl, this might work for you. Very disappointed, yet again. :(

Doesn’t get to the bottom of the bowl
I thought buying kitchenaid brand would be the way to go but even this blade doesn’t get down to the bottom of the bowl on my professional 600 mixer. It’s the weirdest thing. It’s a rather noisy blade as it bumps on the side. I bought an off brand one to try first and it did the same thing so I was disappointed the name brand wasn’t much better.
