heftier than the other stuff. I worry that there isnt as much metal surface area that actually carries the current and gives the shock. I've bumped into it a few times and I dont always get shocked. We're using it to keep these crazy herds or deer from eating all our orchard trees and garden so I really want them zapped asap so they go far far away and keep out. My test shows it's working, I just worry about getting good enough contact all over. But it's tuff stuff but still easy to work with and adjust. I'd still buy it again over the other stuff that streches out easy and sags so I have to keep messing with it... then it gets brittle quickly and easily breaks and tears and I end up having to replace it every other year if not more. I've had my first run with this stuff up for 3 years so far and it's still holding up fine with very little sag over the years I hardly needed to fuss with it at all. Also this amount at this price is a great deal.
