Hi, thanks for your question. DMC Crochet Cotton is also GREAT for tatting. There used to be a flyer by DMC or Lily showing the change in sizes from the use of different sized thread/crochet cotton. The size 10 is the largest, down to 100 the smallest in sizes in steps of 10s. Size 30 is the one most of my experienced tatters have used. Hope this helps! Morgan, allpointsyarndotcom.
