Love love love!
For this price range, this product is simply excellent. As a qualified photographer with a glass making business i initially had doubts about this product. After all it was so cheaply priced, I wasn't expecting much. It comes in a delightful tote bag so you can fold it down and carry it/store it along with a range of coloured back grounds. Please let me add that some reviews show the texture of the backdrop (kind of like a kitchen towel texture but this is normal and as long as you use maximum lighting included along with flash if wanted you'll find the texture disappears. Essentially slightly over exposed the image and you won't see th texture of the paper. This is no problem using the darker colours as you just set a nice light on your object and as long as its not over exposed (were talking everything darker wehj it comes to backdrops) you'll have no issues. So for the amateur photographer/small business owner: this pop up light tent is fantastic. We live in an age where editing software is available to us all whether shooting from above through the handy access hole or shooting from the front, just focus your image now you've chosen your background and lighting from the included usb strip, shoot and simply crop your image and tweak the lighting (brightness) and you'll see you have stunning shots. A little tip, take the contrast up or down depending on the backdrop used and you'll see the material texture disappear. For some the texture of the paper back drop is good. In terms of size its perfect for small items up to 15x15cm and if you want to shoot larger you can push it to 25cm depth and 25cm width and crop your image. This company offers different sizes but I can't stress how flexible and sturdy this light tent is. Seeing as though it folds away It actually maintains structure without droop. Ok I dont think this item would last more than maybe 50 foldings from flat to erect but that would make it about 20p per shoot. Bargain. I've used many light tents before and I can hand on heart say I'm delighted and would love the opportunity to review some more. You won't be disappointed! A note if should add is that j wasn't expecting the coloured backgrounds as i thought they only came with the next size up but they are included. Enjoy this product it is 100% easy to assemble and worth every penny.

Good for the price light box
Yeah, it's fiddly to assemble and annoying process as the plastic is stiff and keeps popping undone until you get it set in place but the actual light box is good value for the price. I've been able to take good product images even after daylight is lost.It comes with a choice of light effects and brightness which you can change. The large circle led lights are good and light the area well. The box size means larger projects under say A4 size can be photographed. The only thing I didn't like about the backdrops is when you take close up pics through the hole you get the material pattern of the backdrops in the photo which looks cheap so I made myself a new paper based background instead.Overall worth the price.

Great little box for handmade product photography!
I've had a couple of small cheap lighthouses before, usually held together with magnets and were pretty flimsy. I thought I'd spend a little more on this one and was mostly sold by the hole in the top. I've been using this for almost a month and am in love with it. It is very easy to assemble with little flaps that fit into slots, and hold together well. You can adjust both the brightness and the warmth of the light (I didn't read the description properly so that was a surprise). My only slight criticism would be that I wished it was a little more sturdy when being moved. The flaps are great when stationary, but tend to slide out when the box is being moved around.

Poor construction limits the practicality
I am sorry to say that despite there being much about this light-box which is useful, I can't recommend it. Adopting the Nick Shabazz methodology, here are the Good, the Great, the Bad and the Ugly. There’s actually a new category too.The Good:The light-box comes with it’s own set of LED lights which form two rings in the roof of the box. They are powered via USB and the attached power cable can be connected to any standard USB socket, on a laptop, adaptor plug or power bank. No special adaptors are needed. The cable is a good length, 2 meters or just under.Once assembled the light-box is portable being very light. It comes with several different coloured backdrops which assist photographing items of different colours. The Great:The two rings of overhead LED lights are excellent. Not only do they provide bright adjustable illumination, they also offer three tones, white, "sepia" and blue. The brightness adjustability is wide, so your camera should be able to find appropriate aperture and speed settings to obtain a good exposure. The cable has a useful and easy to use control switch, which indicates if the unit is powered, switches the lights off and on, changes the colour balance and dims or brightens them. The Bad:The backdrops are hooked onto two plastic tabs cut into the back wall of the box and so can be a little fiddly to attach or detach.I found it annoying that the backdrops are textured with a honeycomb pattern. This appears in photographs, which will likely be a macro or close up, and distracts from the item being photographed. The Ugly:This light box is essentially a sheet of thin white plastic, indented with pre-folded seams and cut with slots and tabs which are then jointed together to construct the open sided cube.I found constructing the light-box difficult. The tabs were awkward to fit through the slots. I was concerned I would tear or bend the plastic out of shape, or damage the LED lights. The instructions were poorly designed and written. I have no problems following or assembling Ikea furniture, but these were “opaque.”Be careful where you assemble it. I laid it out on my living room carpet, which was a mistake as the box is readily generates static electricity. It was quickly covered in dust, specks and all manner of particles, which were a nuisance to remove.Even when constructed, the light-box is very flimsy. The Really Ugly:The tabs and slots, as well as the seam of the edge of the floor are clearly visible when not using one of the backdrops. This seriously detracts from the functionality of the light box, as you can only shoot items in the middle of the floor, unless you want to spend time cropping or photoshopping the seams out.The floor tabs therefore limit the size of the items you can shoot. The backdrops don’t help with the above problem, as they are narrower than the box by half an inch. They don’t cover the floor entirely. You can move them to cover one side but that leaves the tabs and slots on the other side unobscured.I have had some good shots using this light-box, but with small items in the middle of the backdrop. Don’t think you can use the full 12” of it’s size. If you do, you’ll be spending a lot of time editing out the background. The flimsy construction mean I wouldn’t buy this again.
