I cannot believe how good these are, in the picture, I made a dessert, reconstituting The peaches in water with a touch of sugar and some of the powdered freeze dried peaches in the bottom of the can served on some angel food cake, you would never know that it wasn't made from fresh peaches the texture the flavors amazing.

If you want high quality peaches, this is the way to go. I didn’t use it for a recipe. I tried it straight out of the can. Pricey treat. Great taste, big chunks, but the pieces being that large make it appear to have less in the can. It is the same amount as competitors, though. If I were looking to rehydrate it for a recipe, I’d order this again. There was maybe 2 tsp of powder at the bottom. The rest was all usable slices and chunks. That’s much better than any other freeze dried fruit I’ve purchased. So this stands out as amazing. lol

Taste ok, need to be sweeter

The can is received within a month of the packing date which is great. And as a reserve or backup food it's great to have. Sadly I don't think this is a good substitute for regular canned product use. The flavor is very interesting eaten dry. And sadly when rehydrated it becomes really odd. I've had some other dried fruit that rehydrates much better, but it seems peaches just don't do well and have an odd texture and flavor. At least not for eating straight. They are just fine for smoothies and other uses though. I only remove a star for that. Otherwise it could be a handy survival food.

and a healthier snack!I’ve been purchasing shelf-stable/long term storage foods for the past two years from AF & MH and have been quite pleased. However, these peaches raised the food prep bar to a new level! Excellent and timely shipping, cans arrived early w/o even a small dent! Upon opening the can I got a great burst of sweet peach aroma. The peaches look appetizing and taste amazing. They’re SLICES, not cubes or crumbs! I’ve begun budgeting for my next order of nutristore freeze dried foods - will keep you posted.

Great for food storage. Life on the can is 25 years. So food prepers auguston products provides a great variety of food storage items and price is reasonable.

I love the taste of these. I have ordered them four times now. I have taken up eating freeze dried fruit when I want a snack. I have lost 20 pounds doing this. I looked for something other than just strawberries which is all I can get at the local store. Amazon has a huge selection of freeze dried everything. So all the items I have gotten through amazon have been wonderful. These are no exception. One thing to look at is the expiration date has been anywhere from three months to six months past the date. The container says 25 years shelf life so it probably doesn't matter but just so you know.

The product was delivered in 2 days without any issues or product damage. The freeze dried peaches were fresh and excellent tasting ( for freeze dried, lol). I put them in a baggie and eat as a snack on hikes. They reconstitute and taste good and can be used as a treat on camp outs/ overnight hikes (cornbread mix combined with the freeze dried peaches and water cooked over a campfire are a nice treat after a long hike).
