Be patient, needs to be run in for a few hours for motion
Fantastic item for the price. I purchased one new and from the internal appearance of the packaging It's possible that it had been briefly used in returned at some point. I don't have much evidence of this but I would guess that if this were to be the case it would be a result of the unusually slow movement of the laser effect when powered on for the first few hours... The mechanism that provides motion of both the laser and the LED portion of the effect must be very tight when new and need to get moving a little bit before it loosens up. The speed of the laser and LED effect have increased by at least two times since I powered it on. A grumbly user might take notice of this and assume it is defective at first use. 10/10 buy for $20

Hauntingly Vibrant
The media could not be loaded. The BlissLights Ark definitely has a fan in me. The beautiful green pattern is vivid and intense, and the churning blue nebula behind it provides a nice, subtle contrast to the ghostly green shapes, which sometimes seem to be floating in midair. It’s a really cool 3D-ish effect! The ability to dim the lights or to select either the green or blue projections by themselves are nice. You can also turn off the motion for a static image but the effect is so much cooler with it enabled. As far as the Ark’s build quality and form factor, I prefer it over other BlissLights products. The unit is stout, seems sturdy enough, and it stays put wherever you place it. The wide base at the bottom makes it virtually impossible to tip or fall over. Moreover, pointing the projection to wherever I wanted it was easier than I thought as the top part of the unit just slides back and forth on rails. The only improvements I would suggest would be to add a 2/4/8 hour timer, a better pulse mode, and of course, more colors to choose from. However, I’m impressed with the product overall and I’ve been using it every night, finding myself stopping whatever I’m doing to just stare at the hauntingly beautiful green and blue entity slithering on my ceiling…haha. Why I waited over two years to open the product I have no idea but this thing makes me happy. Sidenote: No apps, passwords, or WiFi required. All functions are baked into the BlissLights Ark through three physical buttons on the side of the unit. I love non-smart products!

The Basics of Projectors.
This might help if you are shopping for a laser projector. There are different laser colors; red, green, blue and maybe others. This one has one main color. Some offer multiple colors. Most project an aurora/nebula type pattern on the wall or ceiling which can be still or can move. This one has these options with the press of a button, it moves slowly. Some have stars or laser pinpoints that look like stars in a particular color or in multiple colors. The stars can also move around or can be still. This one does not have stars. Also consider if you want to use an app to control the projector (colors, movement, timer, schedule, brightness, patterns) and connect to the home network. This one does not. This one is a good price, but it does only have the basics. It does project a beautiful and interesting pattern on the wall and ceiling and allows for limited variation. It does provide ambient background lighting that can enhance the room. You'd have to pay more to get more variety and all the extra options which are extra, but this one does a nice job.

After total destruction it still works....
It is 2025....I have dropped this thing a BILLION times....it sounds soooo lose on the inside like its just all junk on the inside. Its split down the front. It STILL WORKS!....I had to go into my old account just to rate this. Never had I ever had a product that has been through so much and still works. 5 stars hands down I'm going to buy another one for another room. I will say this Its GREAT for small spaces. I keep it in my bathroom. It would be great for a small entryway. Its not the best for big spaces.

Great idea and a beautiful abstract image, BUT ...
Great idea and a beautiful abstract image. BUT Unfortunately, it has two deal-killer shortcomings for me.1. The projector requires a physical button push to turn it on after being unplugged from the power. This makes it useless with the rest of my Christmas decorations setup controlled by smart WiFi outlets.2. The rotation is an extremely slow almost static image, you have to stare at it to notice it moving. No rotation speed control.Going back. Maybe the next release will be a bit smarter
