This solved a huge problem for me. We've had thefts from our back yard and attempts to break in the house but the back door opened out and not in. We were at a loss as to what kind of secondary security to use in case of a lock pick. This chain was the right length and it's super strong. No one is getting in that way. And the door doesn't open wide enough for anything to cut the chain from outside either (first photo shows this).For install I used a tiny drill bit made for metal on my hammer drill as we have steel reinforced doors. After that the screws enclosed with the chain worked just fine. Finish also matched my current brushed nickel hardware. Very happy.

Not too much of a fan. Although it works and functions. Its material isnt very heavy and I feel with the right amount of force it can be broken off.

Was easy to install. For additional security, you can put a lock on it, but be careful in the event of an emergency where a quick exit is necessary, such as fire. I have mine at an empty house (for reference).
