Great nostalgic fun
For the last decade or so I had written off main line transformers as kids toys and only purchased masterpiece TFs/collectors toys. This was an impulse purchase for me because it looked as good as a masterpiece and was way cheaper considering the way the price of masterpiece transformers have shot up these past few years.Upon opening this toy, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia that I haven't felt since I got my first transformer toy as a kid. This was the Grimlock toy that I've always wanted. No major sacrifices were made in either bot mode and dino mode and importantly for me, it has an accurate transformation just like in the cartoons that takes less than a minute to transform which makes it incredibly fun. For me the fun and enjoyment of the transformation was the thing that was lacking from the expensive masterpiece toys. Some minor downsides of this toy are the gap in the arms in bot mode and the front teeth gap in dino mode but neither are obvious compared to gaps in other transformers toys that I've seen. Joints are great and there is zero floppiness in both modes. I purchased a sword from a third party and it made grimlock look way more imposing and badass. Hasbro should given us a sword instead of wheelie who is probably staying inside the box.

More Leader-Sized Classic Dinobots, Please!!!
So, Hasbro IS able to make great Transformers. Even though I have my MP Grimlock from years ago, being a huge Dinobot fan, this is the mainline figure fans have deserved for years! Great looking in both modes, the only complaints I would have are really nitpicking. His forearms in bot mode could have covered the hollowness, I wish he came with his sword, and some of the use of red plastic in some joints seem like a weird choice. So definitely a great figure! Please don't be a scalper, so everyone can enjoy this figure at the retail price and please release more Leader Class Dinobots!!! I would love to get all 5, finally.09/14/2021 - Added a photo with Studio Series Slug. Makes me REALLY want the other 3 now! Can't wait!

One of the best figures on the market right now including master piece figures
Easily one of the best figures for his price. I'll get the negatives out first, the lack of an ab crunch and a thigh swivel suck for the robot mode along with a not too awsome head that can't look up too far which could be fixed if there was a tiny bit of plastic drilled out of the back of the ball joint, the dinosaur mode is pretty much perfect just not a fan of the loose weapon storage and the mini figure is total trash I would rather have sacrificed him for some extra poseability and a sword. I do know a 3rd party expansion pack fixes most of the problems except for robot mode poseability. Besides those problems which are pretty petty at this price point you get something that puts certain master piece $100+ figured to shame with how easy it is to transform and the lack of major kible besides the backpack but it's not the worse and the wing bits add to poses so I don't mind. The angel pivot is great and let's him do some crazy standing splits not that you would display him like that. The play is just so good, he has a nice weight without any metal in him and mostly hefty tight joints besides the wing flaping motion in robot mode on my copy is only the right wing.TL;DR Good figure for the price with small problems, lots of play and I would probably still get it even if it raised to 100

"Why boy hit my nose"....Grimlock
Best leader class collection ever, if your into the 1980s OG transformers movies and series than this is a must to have in your collection. The size is huge, in robot mode it's about 10 inch and in dinobot mode it's about 8.5 inch. I prefer the dino mode instead of the robot mode, it just looks good. Tons of details and it looks so cool on your desk. The only down side is that some parts look too plastic and it looks out of place. But overall this is a great figure.

Pretty Good.
Very accurate to the 80's cartoon/movie and very well done. I wouldn't pay more than retail for this if you could avoid it. Don't encourage scalpers.

So Awesome
I love this figure. The robot mode is near perfect and the dino mode is great but not as impressive to me. The figure feels solid, not cheaply made, and is suitably BIG as it should be. I'm happy to see the final figure has gold coloring instead of the yellow shown in earlier pics. He simply looks and feels awesome and appears very imposing next to similarly-scaled Transformers figures. The best Grimlock ever (besides the masterpiece). As far as complaints go, I would gladly have foregone the Wheelie figure in favor of Grimlock's sword. I think most would agree with me on that. If Wheelie had just a tad more articulation, like knees and elbows, he would be great. But as is, he's only good for a display accessory.Overall, Grimlock is well worth the money and one of my favorite Transformers figures in a long time. I'd put him second after Siege Omega Supreme with Earthrise Sky Lynx in 3rd.

Finally he comes!
Finally, there's a main line Grimlock figure that is show accurate and in scale with others! After months of waiting, now he's in hand. As expected, this is literally a budget MP figure with almost no major weakness. One thing that kinda bothers me is hollow gaps on his arms, but that isn't a very big problem and overall the figure is great. As for Wheelie...I also think the extra plastic could have been used in a better way: an energo sword, or a couple of gap-filling piece. After all, I buy this product primarily for Grimlock and it should have been a priority to make Grimlock himself perfect.
