A truthful review - very useful and last a long time.
A truthful review - very useful and last a long time.We use these a lot and always have them on rotation. My wife is a nurse and often takes soup and other foods to work in these containers. You can pop them straight into the microwave, open the top vent and heat from there. Beware though, it IS a vent at the top, it opens, its never going to be 100% leak proof if you are shaking it around a lot. If you think this might be the case with you, perhaps consider a different container with a fully sealed lid. They last a long time as well and wash well in the dishwasher without discolouring.

Love these containers. Great for heating soup in the microwave and food storage in fridge. Good price

Good tubs
I have had Sistema products in the past and always been impressed with the quality. These tubs are no different. In regards to capacity though, I feel like these are slightly less than 1.25 litres because if you look at the picture, the lid is quite deep, but this space is not useable (because you can obviously only fill the tub up to the brim). The lids on these tubs seems to be much deeper than on the 2.4 litre steamer, or the noodle bowl, so it's just something to be aware of. Maybe the tub itself is indeed 1.25 litres capacity...but I don't think it is and I think they are include the space under the lid in this!Speaking of capacity, I was able to get 250g of cooked pasta into a single tub, along with 4 sausages, half a jar of pesto, and a decent amount of fried diced onions! But this really does fill the tub right to the brim, so there isn't a lot of room for stirring (which I would do halfway through microwave cooking from frozen). Still room for cheese on top though, so that's the primary concern dealt with. One minor annoyance with these tubs is that I can only fit 3 of them in one of my freezer doors (I have a standard Hotpoint fridge / freezer - the fridge is on top, and the freezer is at the bottom and consists of 3 drawers and a little basket type drawer at the bottom. I can't even stack them sideways as they are slightly too big and the freezer drawer won't close. So only being able to fit 3 in one freezer drawer is a bit of a bummer, but not the end of the world. With 3 in the drawer, I can still fit a pizza, or something similarly shallow, on top.As for the price, they are expensive, but I think they are worth it. They are good quality and will last a long time, and they keep the microwave clean, so I think it's worth paying that little bit more for the brand.

Exceptional at transporting soup (and injured robins)
I'm really impressed with this microwave soup mug. I've used it four times for taking soup to work and every time it has delivered a high-quality, soup drinking experience. My day job is an Advanced Emergency Robin Response Driver (AERRD). I get paged to incidents involving injured robin's by the RSPB, Police or MI5/6.One day I had already used the Microwave Soup Mug to enjoy an early soup-based lunch and was settling in for an afternoon of watching YouTube and day-dreaming about all the robins I've recused when my pager suddenly bleeped.I'm still using an 1996 Motorola Pager so the actual speed of the text scrolling on the pager is painfully slow. It often delays my response time by about 2 minutes as I wait for the location information to scroll. There was a robin with a suspected dislocated left toe in Marsden so I activated the blue lights and siren and raced from my location in East Cardiff. On arrival at Marsden the Police had thankfully secured the scene and the robin was still conscious but I quickly realised I had left my Emergency Robin Rescue Kit (ERRK) in my other denim shorts. I had to improvise fast.I grabbed the Sistema Microwave Soup Mug and chucked the robin in it, high-fiving the Policewoman and waving at the small crowd of locals who had gathered. The robin appeared to enjoy supping the remnants of the Heinz Lentil Soup as we drove back to Cardiff en route to the specialist Bill Oddie Robin Rehabilitation and Recovery Centre.I made sure to keep the steam release vent on the Soup Mug wide open to give the robin lots of air and allow it to appreciate the Coldplay album I was playing on repeat.Sadly it turned out that the robin had a severe rice flour allergy and it passed away shortly after being fed a Quaver by a member of staff at the Bill Oddie Centre. That member of staff has thankfully been sacked and struck off the register of Specialist Robin Rehabilitation Practitioners pending appeal.

Cool beans, but not for long!
These little beautys are awesome and a kitchen must have. I've no idea how I've survived so long without themNo longer do I have to clean the microwave after every use because someone forgot to cover the bowls and everything has exploded inside! The colour red is very vibrant amd the overall quality of these look and feel very good qualityThe smaller ones comfortably hold a standard tin size of beans, for example. They reduce heating time compared to in a bowl and there is no leaks whatsoever. These are really easy to use with two clips on the side to open and close, and even with arthritis in both hands, I can manage these with relative easeI love that these come with a vent on top too. Looks like they thought of everythingThinking of buying more of these now and using them to keep my batch cooking portions in
