Fons & Porter Notions Instant Flannel Design Wall 60" x 72"

My 2nd purchase, our new home has more wall space and can accommodate a 2nd one. Now I have plenty of room to display all of my in progress projects with enough room for the large quilts. Easy to install and to take down.

I've been making quilts for over 20 years now but I have only just startedgetting into the really detailed quilting. I'm now designing and creating my own patterns but to do this I needed a design wall, to have a "design wall" you need a "large area of wall space" dedicated for whatever it is you need it for designing. However, I live in a very small apartment and I also quilt in my RV, which in itself has it's own challenges, this "Fons & Porter" design wall is the perfect solution. This design wall is large yet portable, it's easy to use and store away, and you can hang it almost anywhere. I would and do recommend this to everyone.

I was so pleased with the quality of this product. My quilt blocks stick to it easily & I can move & arrange they as I wish.

I am a long time quilter and this was my third purchase of the Fons and Porter design wall mat. For me this is essential for designing blocks and arranging colors. The grid lines are in 2-in squares and the mat is sturdy, hung up by grommets.

The Fons & Porter Design Wall is perfect for my sewing room. I needed something to hang on my wall as a temporary design space. This product was perfect because it has a grid on one side and flannel on the other. When I hung it up using small hooks, I could see the grid through the flannel and it's temporary -- I can move it any time I want to. Any time I want to preview fabric or squares that are finished, I put them up on this temporary design wall and it's really helpful. It also helps me decide on a final layout of my quilts. I highly recommend this affordable and very useful quilting tool.

The flannel is thinner and in spots, doesn't adhere to the plastic backing. In some places it has become unattached. Not the same quality of a previous one I had for years.

Would have given it 5 stars but it's really pricey, waited 2 years to get this and price just kept going up. Quilt pieces do stick - and if it starts to fall, fluff it out or spray a little basting spray on it. No big deal. Must say it's better than the table cloth I had, ONLY because of the grid. If you can get over the price then go for it. Otherwise, ehh.
