great sourdough home
I plan to use this for my sourdough between bakes. It is a good size for the first build-up to 250 grams at 8-12 hours before I start my dough. Other sizes available for many purposes. Easy to clean thanks to the straight edges- screw capped canning jars are difficult when dried culture gets in the threads. Well made, but I can see myself breaking the metal clips that hold the lid on top. Won't matter for my purpose, really, since I don't want it tightly sealed, anyway. Very cute if you want them visible on a shelf, full of beans or whatever. I definitely recommend.

Perfect for sourdough starter and growth
Love these jars and lids. Perfect for sourdough starter. They stack nicely too if needed. Really easy to clean. Perfect size and a great price. Worth the purchase. These will last a long time

Functional and Stylish
These are great little jars. They both fit in the Instant Pot to make yogurt. I think there is a sacrifice of screw on lids or snap tight, for the clip on glass lid. Just depends upon your need. These are easy to use, heavyweight, a little pricey, but hold a good amount with a wide mouth.

Absolutely love the Weck jars. These are the perfect size to keep smaller sourdough starters in. Love the lid and that you can use with or without the seal to provide airflow flow or a sealed container. Durable and good thickness to alleviate breakage while washing.
