This is great, But please be safe while putting your hands in. Top temp is over 150. Whew that was really hot! But hands are very smooth.

The initial wax melt took way longer than the 40 min described in the manual. The second day the wax melted in a reasonable time. This isn't really a criticism of the Karite heater, just something to be aware of. The metal alloy tub is large and appears to be good quality. The tub is large enough for mens hands without touching the sides, which is exactly what I was looking for. The front temp reading is within a couple of degrees of the reading I get from my Thermo Works instant read thermometer, so that's a plus. My only regret is that I wish it would either have a clock feature so I could have the wax melted and ready at a set time of the day, or that it would come on in a default "on" mode with a preset default temp so I could control it from my phone with a smart plug. Other than that after two days, I'm very satisfied.

Exchanged the first unit because the target time heating mode didn’t work - I was told it must have been damaged during shipping. Well the replacement unit target time heating mode doesn’t work either. On the flip side, I love the size of the inside - works well for both feet and hands. I’m able to start the unit on my lunch break and it’s ready for use later on that evening, I just adjust the temp down a little when I get home.
