Very useful and fun to read
Written with electrical engineering samples, this book is useful for anyone doing engineering of any kind. The book captures the practical wisdom of a life-long practitioner, someone who was in the trenches of the engineer's world. I am a software engineer and found much that was useful for me. Chapters like "If I Could See It, I Could Fix It" are very useful. Overall, the author is more concerned with highlighting good questions to ask and how engineers think than providing specific answers, which is why the book is so useful. Asking the right questions is something that is learned over time and much more important than the specific answer in a particular context. The book is also hilariously funny. The author has a wonderful sense of humor that had me laughing uproariously many times.Highly recommended.

Classic problem solving; engaging stories
The book is fun to read, despite the serious title. It doesn't require an engineering degree to comprehend the ideas nor does it apply only to scientific problem solving. The tips work for business, management, and all sorts of practical challenges.
