Smooth. The ink on the brighter colors is good. I’d prefer a deeper green so that it’s more like the black red blue ink but love.

My obsession with bold pens is an understatement these pens are exactly as described bold smoth worth value bright in color and different than the common pen my employees try to take them from me every time will purchase more.

Compared to Pilot acroball pro or Uniball Jetstream or Jetstream elements they perform about same, as same type of ink performance as hybrid ink or advanced ink, I searched most known pens as oldest in market were Pilot pens, over 100 years then Pentel about 50 years then Uniball as reorganize in since 1980s or 1970s as Uniball are always making improvements in their pens to capture more attention more marketing but still not bad as I had tried Zebra pens as having problems and leaks in writing. Pilot acroball pro and Pentel Glidewrite are very similar in performance too, but acroball and uni Jetstream elements are identical too. I only buy quality products, in Acroball are advertised as even performing in 20 degrees below zero temperatures? Could be? The ink refill is actually 40% more than refill of Pilot acroball pro, but was tested in writing on paper on wall as both performed well, same darkness of ink as vivid, I can't stand using bad quality pens or lower quality is like wasting money, Pentel Glidewrite and Pilot acroball prohave equal performance but other media ranked Uniball Jetstream elements as 2nd or 3rd place, as Pentel Glidewrite and Pilot acroball same smoothness but Pentel Glidewrite feels as having skates on paper but doesn't smear or leaks, I believe Pentel Glidewrite and Pilot acroball pro have equality on performance. Being an Executive Legal Assistant and pen addict, I'm alwaysss on the hunt for a smooth ballpoint blue ink pen, and have tried many brands that have varied in price. When I saw the pack states "Guaranteed Smoothest Ballpoint Ever", I thought okay, let's do it. Let's see if those big words ring true. In fact, they absolutely do. I am TRULY impressed at the smoothness of the point and the boldness of the blue. However, with six pens in the pack, I've been using one, gave one to my assistant and one to my Bookkeeper, and went to grab another one today and it is BROKEN. No spring action, no click. Two of us tried to repair it at work today but could not. I'm not sending them back because three are currently being used. That's the reason I gave four stars. Pens are worth every penny, ESPECIALLY if every pen in the pack is 100% functional.

I am a pen fanatic, have tried dozens of brands and lines of pens, I used to have an issue with Pentel but I took a chance on these pens and am so glad I did. They write so smooth, the colors are bright and bold, and the grip is comfortable. If you are a heavy handed writer, the ink may smudge but it is nowhere as bad as other brands I’ve tried.

I was honestly disappointed to know from the very first stroke of the very first pen that I need to continue searching for a quality, reliable pen set with vibrant ink colors I can express myself with.I need a pen equally for journaling as well as art. Despite having truly vibrant and unique colors, these pens don't have the feather touch I need. As soon as the pen touches the page, there's a vibrant line of the chosen color. It can be a bold, thick line or a svelte, thin line, but the color intensity is always at the same.I choose ballpoint pens because they usually have a wider expressive range. The ink colors of these pens are lovely, I swear, but it's all one note.I'll give them a proper try and make them my main pens for a time, but I will be back on Amazon today seeking to replace them.P.S. The fact that these pens are technically refillable is less impressive when the refill colors are limited to blue, black, and red
