PLANETARY HERBALS Slippery Elm Lozenges, Tangerine, 200 Count

Slippery Elm is the only cough suppressant I'll ever use. I grew up around eucalyptus trees and Slippery Elm takes me back to simpler, happy times.

I just recently learned about slippery elm and how effective it is for stomach issues. After reading reviews I saw that it can be used for dry cough so decided to purchase these lozenges. A couple nights ago my husband sat up and said he was having heartburn so I remembered I'd read these are good for acid reflex, so figured they would help with heartburn too. He didn't care for the taste initially but I did warn him they are sweetened with Stevia which I know is a taste that people often don't care for. Within minutes the heartburn was gone. I did a bit more research and some sites were discounting the effectiveness saying it will probably only last 30 minutes before the pain comes back. But that didn't happen! I'm investing in another bottle so I can keep one at our bedside and one with the rest of the vitamins. They may not work for everyone the same, but worth a try!

I used these as directed when I had covid, and it seemed to make no difference. My throat was so rough, I lost my voice every day for 6 weeks straight. It still isn’t back to 100%. I know lots of people swear by slippery elm to help soothe a rough throat though, so I will try again if I have issues stemming from a different reason - like allergies.

The flavor is terrible but it does work.

Does what it's supposed to do, protect my esophogus and stomach linings. Not bad tasting. I combine with a DGL chewable, actually slowly letting them dissolve in my mouth as needed. Supposed to take before eating but I often forget and take after at the onset of "the burn".

I am a tour guide, so I'm constantly talking during the day, which caused me to have a raspy voice. I also could not sing, my voice would crack, which was an activity I enjoyed outside my job. This situation went on for a few months, until a friend recommended I try Slippery Elm tablets. I kid you not, within a week of using these tablets everyday, my singing and speaking voices were restored. I even like the tangerine flavor. This product has made a HUGE difference in my professional and personal life.

In my last few weeks of pregnancy and SO reliant on this product. It’s the best thing for pregnancy heartburn and the flavor is really enjoyable!
