Wonderful!
I am knee deep in the stationary and planner communities online, but I haven't been interested in the fountain pen side of these communities. Oh, they're pretty, I love their aesthetic, and online influencers write so beautifully with them! Of course it's crossed my mind to give them a go! But I was content with gel pens and ball point pens and didn't see a need. That is until I developed stiff hands in the evening. Writing became difficult, sometimes even painful, when the temperature drops in my house and my fingers refuse to bend like they used to. I tried hand warmers, and desktop heaters, and I've even introduced typing gloves into my workflow. But some folks recommended I try a fountain pen because the way one holds the pen is quite comfortable and they require no pressure at all to write with.So here we are, with the Lami safari in light rose. I have the F nib, which I find isn't fine enough for me, but that means I get to buy a second one, right? Haha. Setup was easy; I actually owned this for a month before putting it together because I was nervous for some reason, but it only took a few seconds to install the cartridge and everything flowed smoothly after that. The pen is incredibly comfortable to hold. Since you hold fountain pens differently from normal pens, I have had to relearn how to write, but it's been worth it -- the new writing position is incredibly gentle on my fingers, and a lot of my movement has transferred into my wrist, so I'm not relying on my fingers as much to make those minute gestures needed for handwriting. The nib doesn't skip or scratch, and it's quite easy to control the flow of the ink from pen to paper. Having never used a fountain pen before this one, I can honestly say there was very little learning curve, and this is by far the most comfortable writing tool I've used in all my life!

My new favorite pen
I've kept my eye on this pen for some time and I finally saw it drop in price, so I had to nab it!First off, the Vista and the Safari are the same pen. The only difference is the vista is transparent, safari is a solid color. Pen wise it's the same exact thing. This next part isn't necessarily about the pen itself, but the packaging came in a plastic baggy and no box or official packaging. Honestly, I could care less that it comes in a box. The product itself was in un-used condition and how it writes is what matters in the end.I got the medium nib and comparing it with a few other pens, it's probably a true "Medium" and not like a pilot where it's really a finer tip than advertised. The triangle grip is probably the most "controversial" part of the pen. I'm someone who is in the camp of that I enjoy it. It's a comfortable grip. The metal clip I thought would probably be flimsy is anything but! That thing is rock solid! My pen came with a disposable cartridge installed, but again, I didn't get the official packaging. The ink flow is just astounding. Some pens that I own will sometimes "skip" or "scratch". I have yet to experience that with this pen! I'm not a fancy pen collector, with my most "expensive" pen being $35. This pen though just feels so high quality. One thing I have noticed is that I haven't smudged any of my writing. That's something I typically find myself doing. I don't know if it's because I'm using the disposable ink cartridge vs. my bottled ink (I bought a converter, but I haven't used it yet), but I attribute it to the way I have to hold the pen due to the grip.Overall, if you wish to get into fountain pens or you're already a connoisseur, this is an amazing writing instrument.

Great pen manufacturer, smooth writing, not the best nib size for beginners.
It’s a smooth pen that fits comfortably in the hand and writes smoothly, only thing is this pen is too glossy in terms of texture (personal preference IK). Additionally found the nib to be too fine, my mistake of course however other than that it’s a great pen. If you are looking at a starter fountain tip I would definitely recommend using a pen from this brand, just make sure it’s a matte finish

Reliable and dependable
You can always rely on a LAMY. I like a Fine nib the best. Not scratchy. Very smooth with just the right amount of ink delivered.
