Military WWII Type Duffle Bag Sidor rucksack USSR Soviet Army Backpack Knapsack

I've wanted a bag like this for a while. They're not as cheap as they used to be, but it's exactly as advertised and good quality. So I'm quite happy.

This rucksack is an awesome piece of vintage gear to take camping, and can almost carry as much gear as most modern backpacks. In my pictures, I've got a wool blanket strapped to the sides, a 2 person tent strapped on top of the blanket, a trench shovel in the outer back pocket, and a canteen strapped around the top of everything else. With everything I packed in it, it weighs about 40 pounds. The only downside to this is that the straps are kind of narrow, and if you're going to carry this with heavy things, it will eventually start to get a little uncomfortable and will leave some welts on your shoulders/collarbones. Mine came with a chest strap which I was able to cinch down all the way to keep the bag secured to my body and spread out the weight, which was super handy. It doesn't have any other outside pockets other than for the one mine came with, and tying the strap around the mouth of the bag may be confusing, but there are videos on YouTube on how to tie one of these, so that's no problem. Long story short, this thing is not as convenient as most modern bags, but it is definitely as strong or stronger than most, and is also a super cool piece of vintage equipment!
