My Syrian hamster actually stopped burrowing after I placed this in and connected it to her main house. She sometimes sleeps in it, as it’s a giant L that connects to the house and the sand bath. There are plenty of strong pieces that won’t bend, and it’s easy to reset the tunnel to its original area for familiarization after cleaning. Honestly, I'm considering buying more pieces for a longer tunnel system.

Butters and Snow love their tubes. I put them on the bottom of their cage, under the bedding. The love incorporating them into their burrows, the sleep in them and love chewing on them. They are a very nice diameter with lots of options on how you put them together.

it is very good, hamster loved it, but the entrance piece doesnt attach… it just sits on top of the bedding. i definitely dont like that part and i wish it would attach because it gets knocked over alot.

The media could not be loaded. Wanted to share that these are large enough for a small to average sized Syrian hamster. So many hamster products are sized for dwarf hamsters, so I had no idea when I ordered these if they would work or not. My hamster is still fairly young, and on the smaller side, but she has no trouble with these, and I think a hamster a little bigger than her would also do fine. If your Syrian is on the larger side, these may not be the best option. It would be nice to have an extra large size option for the chonkers out there. As for quality, they're actually very thick and sturdy, and they fit together well. I mostly use them for free ranging, but since they're modular they could be nice for hamsters that like their enclosure mixed up frequently, and they're sturdy enough that they could be burried in bedding to create some undergroud spaces to explore.

Putting a few of these into hides beneath the bedding really encouraged our dwarf hamster to burrow. We put one end into the hide and one end pointing above the bedding, but the other end just created a dead end into the bedding. Over time, we watched her turn that dead end into the start of a series of tunnels in her enclosure.

We recently adopted a female Syrian hamster, and wanted help make her feel 'at home' in her habitat and encourage her to burrow. We paired this with the elbow fitting and a ladder burrow also made by Niteangel. She took to it right away and love to sleep in the burrow. It was easy to connect to the other Niteangel products and is well made. It's also large enough to accommodate a female Syrian hamster.
