Nice replacement for Opal 2.0 nugget ice maker fan
After several years, the cooling fan on my Opal 2.0 ice maker wasn't working well, leading to the machine getting very hot and not making ice. (The fan would either get stuck trying to spin up, or didn't spin as fast as it should.) I replaced it with this fan, and my ice machine is working much better. The fan itself fit was the same size as the OEM fan, so it fit in fine in the case. The power plug on this fan is a bit different than the plug on the original (the clips are different), and I had to shave a bit off the new plug to get it to fit in the power socket. It isn't possible to clip in this way, but friction should hold it in, and there shouldn't be anything pulling on the cord, anyway. I'm ecstatic that I fixed my Opal for about $13.

Fan for heater
Bought this to replace a fan in my heater because I could not find the exact replacement nor did the manufacturer have any in stock. This works great, quiet, and air flow might be a little more. If you have one of these heaters and need a new fan, this works!

Worked in Opal 2.0 ice maker
This was my last ditch effort to fix our GE Opal 2.0 icemaker for the 5th time it seems. The old original fan still worked, but very hot air was coming out the back IMO. The ice maker would run for hours barely making ice, and frequently defrosting itself. Dust on the heat exchange radiator was not the problem. To see if it was overheating, I placed a small fan against the side of the unit, and I noticed it would make ice normally. I could not measure the RPM/airflow on the old fan, so I tried this new fan just for the heck of it. The airflow it creates is considerably stronger than the original 12v/.25a fan. The new fan is a tiny bit louder, but not very noticable over the compressor noise anyway. Our ice maker is back to cranking out ice, and seems almost better than when it was new.The only small caveat was the small 2 pin connector plug seemed to have a slightly different clip style on the new fan. I was able to plug it in, but not really click it securely in place.

Maybe Too Loud for Wine Cooler
Bought this to replace an 80mm fan that stopped working in my wine cooler. Was looking for something that was a little more robust. The connector on this fan didn’t not match the old one so I had to cut it off the old one and splice it onto this one. It works but wish there was an easier way. Compared to the old fan, this one is noisy! This is rated at 43dB vs 25dB for the other. Although I’m happy with its performance and robustness I might have to suck it up and get a quieter fan. We’ll see how it goes.

Perfect for portable ice makers
This fan worked perfectly to replace the cooling fan in my Ivation portable ice maker. I had tried several others that were designed for use in computers, however, they did not move enough air and the machine would run too hot and not make ice. This fan appears to move just slightly more air than the original one did and is slightly quieter. Note, these are not silent or quiet by any means, but this one is not too loud either. The original fan had a very pronounced 'whirring' sound, which seemed to travel all over the house. This one also makes a somewhat similar sound, but it is not nearly as bad as the original. These ice machines require fans that move a lot more air than the computer fans do. The original fan in mine was rated at 82 CFM, 12V DC and 0.25A, which was exactly what this one is rated and it appears to have been a perfect match. Machine works perfectly. The only complication I had, which has nothing to do with the fan, is that Ivation used a 3-prong plug instead of the 2-prong that is on this fan. They are exactly the same type of plug; just the difference in the number of pins. I just painstakingly released the pins from both plugs and then inserted them into the plug from my old fan and everything works fine. From my research on-line on this topic, it appeared that most of the ice makers use the 2-prong plugs, but Ivation used a 3-prong plug for some reason (the center pin is not used).Hopefully the fan has a long life, but so far it's a winner!

Noisy
Claimed to run at 43 decibels, actual is 72 decibels. Couldn’t use, too loud.Edit: The seller reached out to me, and offered a full refund. The fan wasn’t suitable for me, but I would certainly buy from this seller again

Too noisy
Installed as a replacement in a beverage refrigerator. It is noisy. Original fan was fine for a couple of years and was much quieter. Plug was different from original but I spliced old plug on this fan.Side by side the two fans looked identical except for the label.
