My Big Truck Book (My Big Board Books) Board book – Illustrated, May 10, 2011

This is my son's favorite book. He's 2, and really into "big trucks", and this book was perfect for him. He will pull this book off the shelf nearly every day for us to read it to him. He can point out what most of the vehicles are ("Show me the airport fire truck"), and when we are driving someplace, every so often he'll sound out, "LOOOK! A fuel truck!"It literally is a book full of pictures of vehicles, with their name under it. We've turned it into a game, calling out the name and having him point to it, which is a source of great fun for him. He's at the point where he can turn the pages to find the vehicle you've named... its pretty impressive. The book is very well constructed, and has been through a lot of use (and some abuse) and has come through it with very little visible wear.I'm very glad that I got this for him, and I will use this as a gift for my friends with small boys in the future. I'd recommend it to anyone who has little ones who are into trucks and vehicles..

This book is fairly large with good illustrations. Very good value.

It’s OK.

No truck has been forgotten in this encyclopedic presentation of trucks. My 2 1/2 year old grandson is mesmerized by this book. He sits for hours "reading" the book and enjoys having commentary from parents, friends, etc.

I gave this book to my son as a reward for using the toilet. He was beyond thrilled! He face lit up so brightly when he got it and started yelling out the truck names that he knew as he turned the pages. He read it about 5 times the night he got it and even took it to bed with him. The pictures are brightly colored and the names are fairly easy to read. It was slightly confusing that there was a Mini Excavator, Excavator and Giant Excavator but he didn't seem to care too much. My only complaint was that there was some sort of yellow paper stuck with glue to the back. It looks like someone tried to get most of it off but there was still some there and I couldn't get it off. Other than that it's a great book for kids that love cars and trucks.

My grandson is 18 months and LOVES this book! We take it everywhere. We go page by page but when he gets to the Fire Trucks page, his attitude changes. He makes the most excited sounds, then gives me a kiss. I kid you not! He loves Fire Trucks. I’ve taken him to several Fire and police houses and he relates to the pictures. And the firemen and police officers are thrilled to see his excitement! I noticed this company has other books like the Truck Book which I will be ordering. Get yours today. Your toddler son, grandson, nephew or the neighbors boy will love this book!

This is one of my son's very favorite books. Being a two-year-old boy, he is all about trucks and other vehicles, and he looks at this over and over. The pages of this board book are high-quality and thick. The pictures are bright and arresting. The reason I only gave it four stars, though, is that I would like it even more if it had less pictures of really obscure trucks (airport truck? brush rig?), and used the space to have bigger pictures of the more common trucks. For example, it would be easier for a child to understand what a "school bus" is if they could see the WHOLE bus, and not just the front 1/4 of it.

This is a very nice, large, sturdy board book with brightly colored pictures of real vehicles. It covers, pretty much any kind of work type vehicle, from mail trucks to emergency vehicles to earth movers. It was a big hit for our 3-year-old great-grandson's birthday. After opening this book, toys were left abandoned. Highly recommend.
