High-quality, easy to install
There have been a few negative reviews of this product, but what I received is very nicely made and installed very securely in my CMU (cement block) wall. The standoffs were all drilled/formed correctly and I had no problem with their ability to hold my wire securely or to attach firmly to the wall.I used a 1/4" masonry bit to drill the holes, then tapped the plastic sleeve in gently with a hammer. An impact driver made screwing the screws in easy. For the wire, I used 3/32" coated galvanized steel wire rope, which went through the holes easily. You will definitely want a cutter made for multi-strand steel wire-- I use a Park Tool CN-10 that's designed for bike cables.

Good Idea, but with Caveats...
This looked like a really solid, practically invisible way to train plants to grow up a wall. It is a really good idea, in theory. Unfortunately, the steel "hubs" I received were not bored-out deep enough to fit the cables through, and I found this out after mounting all of them (plus some of the cables, which I had to pull out). I found out from the company that there was a quality control issue from their supplier for the hubs. They were very nice, and quickly sent me a whole replacement kit. After replacing the hubs, I found that even if you have them screwed in tightly to a cinderblock wall, as soon as you try to tighten the set screws to hold the cables in place, the hubs and the cables will start to loosen. It is virtually impossible to tighten the set screws, while preventing the hubs from turning in your hand. Also, and most importantly, I found that bolt cutters and wire cutters do not work well for cutting the included 1/8 " stainless steel cable. Each time you cut it, the wires at the end of the cable will fan out and not fit through the holes in the hubs. No matter how much you try to twist or press the ends of the cable, they will not fit through the holes. The only solution to this, is to buy a good pair of wire rope cutters, which costs about $60. These are made for cutting stainless steel rope, and they make a clean cut, so the cable will not fan out, and will fit through the holes. This is something that the seller really needs to mention, as a required tool for using this system. So bottom line is, Add the $60 + tax price for a good pair of stainless steel rope cutters (that will cut 1/8" rope) to the price of this trellis system, and that will be the true cost of getting this system to work.

Does the job, allows for customization
Bought two of these 20 piece packs to provide extra space for a climbing rose on our brick chimney. While I'm satisfied with the result, as other have pointed out, the set has its shortcomings. The screws aren't great and metal hubs spin incessantly. However, compared for the price, it's hard to find a better option that allows for such a large-scale, customizable setup.

Incomplete hub threads make product unusable. Weak screws.
One of the hubs did not have the threads fully drilled, so the lock hex nuts will not fasten down into the hub to secure the wire. For a $100 product this is very bad QA.The screws need to be replaced with masonry screws, what were provided are wood screws of the cheapest metal. They are about a centimeter too long for the anchors, so they won't fasten the hub tight to the masonry, and the screw metal is very low quality and it will easily snap off while tightening.

Beautiful but not perfect.
Pros:Quality materialSolid buildOnce installed looks amazingEasy to installCons:Must use correct size wire ropeHard to get max tension for straight lines.Hubs will rotate after installed to masonry brick. Conclusion:I would give this product 5 stars but keeping the hubs aligned without rotating was impossible. I used a power driver and the hubs still rotated afterwards. The hubs need teeth or grip for contact section to wood or brick. This will prevent rotating after installation.I bought washers to spread the contact to the brick. I ended up not using it as I wanted to see how the product performed without modifications.I used a Dremel to cut the wire rope for clean cuts. If you cut the rope and fray it, it will be a nightmare getting the rope through those small holes. If the rope is frayed, the rubber tips they provide will be unusable. You can use heat shrink tubing as a alternative.I used 3/32 wire rope (non-sleeved) which you can buy at Homedepot for $20 for 50 feet.

Poor quality screws
I use this product many times but unfortunately in the latest three shipments all the screws strip out real quick. This is not as simple as using an alternative screw as the head is extra small to accommodate the wall fitting. I would have given it five stars but it's really frustrating as it won't secure to the wall properly.

Cheap screws
The spacers are fantastic. Problem is that they use such cheap screws that they sheer off about 1/3rd of the time. You will have to purchase new screws at the hardware store. Sad - because it would be 5 stars if they just spent about 50 cents more for a high quality wood screw
